Living in Arizona those cactus projects would be a great addition to any flea market or craft show! Thanks again Julia! 🌵 I guess I watched so many of your videos on my TV where I can't (or don't know how 🤪) to leave a comment! It's so fun to watch your videos again! You're endless creative ideas are SO inspiring!!! 🤗 Thank you for posting all these videos!!! ❤ Brenda 🌼

The appliques by themselves are so cute, but when you add the FMQ to it, they come to life. What an inspiration! Thanks!

Love this. Can't wait to try it. I would add only one more bit of stitching. Adding some ground under the cactus. I never put what I would do on someone's video because this is so cool but I paint and was always taught that things need grounding.

I love this technique that you use with the comfort colors sweatshirts. I wanted to let you know that I was watching a video, and I can't remember who it was, but they said that the frixion pens leave a lighter mark on dark fabrics, but if the item has been washed after the pen was applied the residue washes out of the fibers and the lightness doesn't show up.

How coincidental that you posted this. I am finally making your llama and was confused about fusing the fabric to the heat and bond. I just came to your channel for another look and saw this done the same way. I had forgotten about the glue. That sun circle has the perfect southwest colours. Cool project! Thanks.
@stitchesbyjulia5 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan, Others have been confused about why I glue on top of the heat-n-bond adhesive. I believe there is a different product available that is tacky one one side and can be ironed on the other side, but I haven't tried it. The heat-n-bond works well, but you do need to use the glue to keep all the piece in place. Hope you have a chance to try it! Julia

Hi Julia! I love this sweatshirt - both the color and the design elements you added. They are absolutely perfect! I bought a pullover knit top from WalMart and want to try my hand at something similar. I don't like long sleeves (even in winter) and definitely will alter the cuffs using this idea. I love your style. I hope you and yours have a lovely Thanksgiving and I can't wait to see what you make next.

I have just found you and absolutely love your work and creativity! I'm curious as to why you use the glue on the heat and bond. Thanks so much for sharing!
@stitchesbyjulia3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I use the glue to keep the the stripes of fabric in place. Once the glue dries, I then iron to activate the heat and bond's glue. You can also use a temporary spray glue. Steam a Seam II is another brand of fusible adhesive that already has a tacky surface. It is great but expensive. Hope this helps, Julia

Great project and a video well done! I do have a question about the step with the glue. Are you gluing the fabric on the glue side of the Heat and Bond?
@stitchesbyjulia5 жыл бұрын
Hi Vicki, Yes I put the glue on the adhesive side of the Heat n Bond. This keeps the little scraps in place. Once the design is covered and the glue has dried, I turn it over, cut it out, and iron to activate the Heat n Bond's adhesive. Hope this makes sense. I believe there is a product that has a tacky side that can be used in place of the heat-n-bond. Thanks for watching, Julia

Love how you done the shirt too ( i’ve wondered how to do that with the bands! I was amused/ focused with how you were doing your lamas last time, now going back to re-watch cause i’m curious if you’ve done that to the bands on the other lama project🤔🤔 I learn soo much from you - thanks alot for doing your videos, i really appreciate watching, and learning your projects etc you do !

I've always wanted to do free motion, but is it possible to do it without a quilting foot?
@stitchesbyjulia5 жыл бұрын
Hi, You do need a quilting foot or a darner foot. They sit above your work so you can freely move the fabric. You should be able to find one that fits your machine. They're reasonable priced. Hope you have a chance to try it! Julia
