1. Because a very common thing to bring when you visit somebody internationally is food from your own country. 2. Because a very common souvenir to bring home when you visit another country is food. 3. Because people travelling long distance bring food with them to eat on the journey, but don't necessarily finish all of it. 4. Because probably a dozen other reasons.

I have only ever been through customs at airports in UK and Dubai, straight through all no problem and when coming back into the UK I got pulled by them, turned out they were making bets on what I had in my large Canvas bag (No not a Karrier Bag 🤣) and when they searched it one jumped with joy, he was spot on, it was my..... Unicycle, so I had to ride it through customs to be allowed to leave. Dover UK customs officers were singing a circus chant and waved us through in our painted up tourbus when we came off the boat one time. Love customs people, they are cool and do a great job.

Why none of this showing anything with the passengers arriving in private jets? I've worked with some high rollers people and just in one experience, the spokesperson of the rich tell the directors or customs and immigration "if you like to keep your job, DO NOT scan the baggages and let us in, i can end you with just a phone call'. And then we got straight pickup from tarmac and out from the airport. On the way out, its the exact same process. Believe me or not, this is what always happens.
