1. Yes, it’s same process. 2.If it’s not distance program, you may not start without attending to school. Better to check with coordinator. If it’s a distance program, don’t continue the application process because you will not get residence permit to come here as you can study even in SL. 3. For 13 months. They will not issue residence permit for 2years. Once you arrive here, you can extend it. But remember you have to show funds again. 4.You can’t use FDs. Use savings account which you and dependent are currently using. Confirmations are not enough in most cases, bank statements are requested in later.

Once you submit your documents to university admissions, you have to wait till results. Then you can start visa process. (Refer vlog 8). Interviews are not for all. Depending on the case officer you will be called for one. In such case you have to address embassy in delhi and book an appointment. The date will fixed by embassy which can be varied according to their seats.

Again estimated time after interview to settle the case depends on case officer. But most of the decisions are given before programs’ commencement. You can submit fingerprints directly to embassy after your interview. No need to visit embassy again. Fill the courier form with the address of consulate general in SL. They will send rp cards every friday and you will get tracking details at embassy website

PhDs are considered here as jobs. You have to visit university websites and check carrier links. There’s no separate website to apply for.
