Went to Sweden on a trip a few years back. Women never approach me in clubs in my country, they wait for me to approach but in Sweden I had numerous women approach me. It shocked me. I probably had more women approach me on that 3 day trip than I ever had at home. Some of the Swedish women who approached said they came up to me because I was just having a laugh with my friends, whereas all the Swedish men were standing around the club looking very serious, not even talking to each other, just posing. They thought I looked fun. Then secondly some said I had black hair and apparently the Swedish women like that as all the men and women there are mostly blonde so having dark hair is a little more unique. One of my friends ended up meeting a girl on that trip, moved to Sweden and married her. She just approached him during the day while we were watching a football game, came up and handed him her number on a piece of paper. So I guess that point is true about they take what they want! Swedish women might be the most forward I have ever come across. Its great.

Uuum only about 60% of swedes are "lighthaired" Not blonde, and dark hair is NOT a rare or uncomon thing 😂

Fika is _taking the time_ to drink coffee/tee with something sweet on the side. It's a social thing where we meet and talk - we even have fika pause in work during the afternoon.

Meeting up for a fika can be just a coffe or coffe and a sandwich, it doesn't have to be something sweet.

My first date with my husband (about 25 years ago) was actually an afternoon fika!😄 More relaxed way of getting to know each other. First time we met, was at a friend's house. I've never been much of a flirting-in-nightclubs kind of girl. Used go out with friends on clubs when I was younger, but the guys there were always too drunk for my taste...

The part where the guy "flirts" touching the girl on her waist is not flirting. Many guys does this in Sweden which is wrong and disgusting, they are creeps, all my girl friends hate those kind of guys. I'm amazed how the person who wrote that artice thinks it's flirting, no that's just sexual harassment. Never touch a girl unless she gives you permission, period.

Hahaha its a funny video. Somethings acctually true what he said. I seen your videos of facts of sweden to and some things isnt in those videos. Like school education. English is just as important to learn and get good grades as the swedish language for example. Its true ppl are freeminded like getting kids before married, girls flirt as much as guys etc. Like your videos btw =) keep up the good work!! Regards all the way from sweden =)

I can honestly say that the flirting list is gender neutral in my experience [edit: given that any gender uses any technique]. Swedes aren't up in anyone's personal space normally, so just being close to someone is a flirting attempt - for both genders. I thought my (now) wife were hitting on me by just sitting close to me, where it was a normal distance in her Chinese culture (like, scooping up close to you).

Great that swedes are able to flirt with both women and men !!!!!
@Cookie_moonlove4 жыл бұрын
This is very true about personal space and how being close usually is an attemt to flirt. Ofcourse there are a lot of men in sweden to who don't seem to get that they should leave a women alone when she makes it clear that she's not interested but just getting close and seeing how the person you are interested in responds usually is enough for you to get if they are interested or not. If the person backs of or doesn't respond then just move on and leave them alone.

@@betelgezaa I'm not sure but I do think Rickard ment both men and women instigate the flirting BUT Yes us swedes are able to flirt with both men and women. We do have some homophobes ofcourse, we have all kinds of idiots here too, but in general it's no problem.

Cookie a normal country ?! Great ! From my observation men prefer flirting with other men because it makes them more attractive - if even men think they are handsome they must be handsome >

@@betelgezaa I don't really get what you are trying to say but Yes, a normal country but I would say less weird about people who aren't straight, if you compare Sweden to the US and many other countries.

the flirting things is kinda outdated, you usually just use tinder now and be straight forward with ur intentions. or most likely you start off just hanging out as friends and a relationship comes organicly . in the current society its very sketchy just to go up and touch girls you dont, I DO NOT RECCOMEND TO DO THAT. but i agree with a few other things - if a girl likes you she will let u know that in a very obvious way.

Fika: Usually involves at least two people (can be done alone too) drinking coffee, or tea, and eating sweets, like cookies. It's like a tea break kinda thing. or coffee break. Depending on your taste. It's a social thing that used to be almost like a ritual, especially while meeting older people. Nowadays, it's more chill, and you can refuse if you don't feel like it ^^

A fika is when you have a cup of coffee together and eat something sweet. Just a chill hangout at a café or at home :) The pre-parties start early sometimes too depending on if it's a weekday or weekend😂 imagine you start drinking at 7 or 9pm and then you go out at around 1am on a friday night. Some people even begin as soon as they have showered after getting home from work. On a saturday it can start real early, like a couple of hours after lunch😂 I think one reason why men let the women come to them is because of respect and they want to show you that they want more than just a ONS, they're looking for a partner. We have big issues with rape and sexual assault here in Sweden and many girls stop going out because of it. Maybe you would enjoy this video about swedish speech kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonTaJKJn8ygaZY

this was VERY accurate. especially the second male one, the dance mating ritual that's always happening at the club ;) what we hate is when the guy doesn't get the hind and won't move on, those creeps are annoying af. But I never mind a respectful slide by on the dance floor ;)) if I like the guy I'll keep dancing with him.

Yeah women do that too. It sucks when you are having a good time and the chick doesn't understand that her vagina does not make her cleopatra. We hate when the girl think she is a prize.

FIKA = 1: A break at work where you just get along with your colegues/friends and talk about life, over a cup of coffie or Tea. Often with a bisquit or other pastery. Almost the same as Afternoon Tea in UK!.... 2: A vistit to the local Café!

Well after reading the Comments, I now know what a Swedish Fika is. I am putting it in my alphabetical knowledge list right above Swedish Fish. Master John Lee...you may have the title of Master in front of your name, but imo you still have quite a long way to go when it comes to NOT teasing your wife!! And I HOPE it is only teasing!! I doubt very much that she allows you to have a "side chick", in Las Vegas OR in Sweden. I am not sure how OTHERS feel while watching, but sometimes I feel quite sad for LuLu. 😪 You are quite fortunate to have such a lovely and loving wife, but I don't hear you expressing your appreciation of having her as your wife! Are you still upset about the tire situation from a few weeks back? Try to get over it John, seriously. I am quite sure than there are THOUSANDS of men that would LOVE to have LuLu as their wife. And I am SURE that you would be devastated to lose her to a flirtatious Swedish man or ANY flirting nationality. See this ball Master John Lee?? 🌑 I suggest that you get ON it asap, and start honoring your beautiful wife each and every day in front of EVERYONE. You are very wise most of the time so I am SURE you know what you need to do.

Lol yeah I personally am terrible at flirting, it's not even that I lack confidence it's just that I don't want to feel as if I'm very bothersome somehow. Also it's true, women once they get sufficiently drunk will usually come up to you if they like you. The only time I really flirt is if I feel 100% certain that the girl likes me, or if I am incredibly plastered to the point where I couldn't care any less if I'm bothersome, lol.
