I'm Swedish and it brings me to tears to see what's happened to my country. Always remember that one cannot reasonably assume that African' resources are not playing a role. These are not accessible to the average African ( a black one) as much as these resources are made available to Europeans. Africans, like any other group, leave for a better life. If we focus as much attention on who is allowed to live where and why, Europeans should see that staying in Africa means, sooner than later, having a better life there. I've cousins in Sweden. They said when migrants first moved there in smaller numbers everyone was excited and welcomed them. I recently was on a exploratory trip to South Africa to see if I wanted to settle there. Was there for six weeks; mostly in Cape Town. If the country the migrants came from acted like Swedish people, they wouldnt have to be leaving to have somebody else pay for their "better life". France is one of the contributors of instability n poverty. Most of those countries are forced to trade with franc for their natural resources, hence that’s why France uses euro against them. Multiple decent leaders have been assassinated for trying to make better changes to their country’s if it’s against a foreign powers intrest. Niger is one of the latest where France is trying to keep influence, they said no and now there is war. US/uk/israel is one, the war on terror they created and installing oppressive governments they control for oil, gas and other resources. Pressuring leaders to destabilise their neighbouring countries otherwise this and that, bribes, arm rebel groups etc. Once a nation doesn’t have peace to develop and external influence trying to control it then Africa as a continent can thrive. Offcourse there are those leaders who just loves power n are miss managing their ppl funds or/and internal control for power. Power vacuums is a way to let terrorism n criminal activities to foster or invasion of a country and that is food for the US as it’s an imperial military entity. Why do u think the weapon industry is thriving on the stock market? The gulf and Saudi are other actors in their nearby regions n also as they are a soft power. If u don’t understand the mechanisms you’ll be narrow minded. If u are constantly attracted or at war and have no peace there will be a lack of development. To keep a country weak is a strategy to loot like in DRC. An arms embargo by UN is also a way to keep a country defenceless against terror and other crimes hindering them from protecting themselves. Lac of infrastructure so on. The list is looong.

Africa has the opposite problem: the population is growing *way* too damn fast. A slowly growing population is a very good thing for economic development but too much too soon in a poor country means economic activity is focused almost entirely on people meeting their basic needs. The problem is that thanks to modern medicine infant mortality greatly decreased but the birth rate didn't. Unfortunately women don't have access to modern contraceptives for cultural reasons. Culture is the root of the problem. Simply put many (if not most) cultures are not very conducive to economic and social development. It's not a coincidence that the wealthiest, most free, and safest countries are those of the West or East Asian countries that adopted large chunks of Western culture.

These have made africa doomed to develop as their some cultures on the continent which aren't assimilating to development and geography is an issue as well as africa doesn't have navigativable river like europe does.

I may be overly harsh but I think the common thread is that there is a distinct lack of altruism between different peoples in Africa (and also in the same tribe sometimes). The number of African leaders that have sought to amass the entirety of a Nations wealth to the detriment of their own Nations is very telling. People forget ... Nations are a relatively new concept for many Africans and tribalism still dominates in many regions.

I go to Sweden often and over the past few years it's gone downhill. When you visit every 6 months you see snapshots of the changes, rather than just experience a steady decline. If the immigrants integrated, got jobs, learnt the language and followed Sweden's customs and laws, it would be fine. But crime has escalated, gun crime is now commonplace, drugs are rife and it can be very intimidating going out at night. It was never like that before.

European nationalized welfare systems require workers to pay into the systems, workers that Europe doesn't have, look at the low birthrates and aging populations...they tried to solve this with migration and then practiced separation and exclusion towards the migrants.
