Great gift, Alice! Carol and Recky, if you have space downstairs to put some shelving, you could store all the big kitchen gadgets you don't use daily. This would save the prime space in the kitchen for daily-use items. ☺

That's really cool. I had no idea Kitchen Aid had something like that. Now you should try making some Swedish Sushi, lol. Try saying that 5 times fast, lol.

Rice cookers are awesome! It's a set it and forget it until the machine tells you it's done... very helpful.

Wild rice is not actually rice, but a seed grain native to North America. It's expensive (even here), but something really special. It takes more time to cook than regular rice. It has a wonderful, nutty, slightly chewy texture. Enjoy your new rice cooker, it looks amazing.

If you need to use a KitchenAid appliance in another country, you can have a certified service partner re-plug it.

Recently cleaned out cabinets and donated my rice cooker, bread maker & other large appliances to tidy up. (Swedish Death Cleaning). I also prefer the taste & texture of baking bread in an oven and stove top boiled rice. I’m also cooking for one so large quantities went to waste or I ate rice for a week. 😂💜💜💜

Wow! Just read the info on that appliance! Fancy, schmancy! Excellent rating. Looks like something Carol will enjoy learning how to use. The recipes sound delish. Appears you can make large enough quantities to perhaps freeze some servings. I cook rice in a vary small pressure cooker and quinoa (made some just this morning!) on stovetop. Has Carol attempted to make pasta with her KitchenAid? Tried any of the attachments? Would be fun to see video of you trying them out. 😊

Recky did a decent flat A there at the start. #Impressed. Carol, per English 'rules' you pronounced Quinoa correctly, however in reality it's pronounced Keen-wah. (Weird like most of the 'from other places' words we integrate into English. I'm sure there are Swede words like that also. A lot of times there will be a French section then an English section. If not, chances are decent you can get an English version online in a PDF file or similar.

I ACCIDENTLY SAW THIS IN AN EARLY MORNING INFORMERCIAL ON TV, SO I WENT TO MY SHARED AMAZON ACCOUNT OF MY SISTER AND ORDERED ONE FOR ME AND ONE FOR RECKY AND CAROL. SAME AS I DID WITH THE NAVAGE (PRONOUNCED, NA-VAWGE. CLOSEST PRONOUNCING BREAKDOWN I CAN COME UP WITH. THE WIKI BREAKDOWN DOESN'T MAKE SENSE). COUNTRY ORIGIN OF NAVAGE COMES FROM INDIA. THE NAVAGE SYSTEM IS ALOT BETTER THAN THE TEAPOT LOOKING NETI POT SYSTEM. I HAD A NETI AND DID NOT LIKE IT. THE NAVAGE IS BATTERY OPERATED WHICH MAKES THE PROCESS AUTOMATIC. NO OVER THE SINK HEAD TILT LIKE THE NETI. THE NETI WAS ONE OF OPRAH'S FAVORITE THINGS ON HER LIST A LONG TIME AGO.
