We also use CV9030 as our light tanks) But if we compare him not to a Leopard or a T-90 but to a Beadley or a Marder, the CV90 outperforms them in almost every category. Would be great for the Ukrainians if they received other variants of the CV90 such as the CV90 Mjölner or AMOS both are designed for close artillery support than having to rely on long range artillery guns and missile systems like the M777, HIMARS, etc., and especially the CV90120 with its 120mm main gun and pair it up with the CV9040, the pair would give the Orcs something to seriously think about surrendering or retreating.

Denmark just placed an order for 115 extra CV9035 MK IIIC and has 44 currently that is getting a mid life update to MK IIIC standard. This is a request from NATO to build a heavy brigade that can be deployed when needed.

With sales pitches like this, no wonder my Saab stocks are going through the roof :P No honestly, nice to see the stuff Sweden build really works for its intended task. Which is defending from a Russian invasion if we're being honest.

The UK should have gone with the CV90 instead of the Ajax.

Finally NATO has lower priced vehicles for land, sea, under sea and air than US super expensive stuff. Problem right now is that order books are full and loan interest is high.
@Swatmat10 ай бұрын
with Ajax finally coming into UK service and looking pretty effective, i still believe we should have spent the money on this instead, we could have had thousands for the same price we are getting 500 or so ajax
@Rroff210 ай бұрын
The Ajax is an advanced combat reconnaissance vehicle, the CV-90 primarily designed as an infantry fighting vehicle, though it can be upgraded to a similar role there are potential penalties due to the increased weight, etc. that would entail, though I still think we'd have been better off adopting the CV-90, the Warrior is still very capable in the IFV role as well.
