The 120 is good but its a tank as it loses the infantry carrying capacity. The beauty of the CV90 series is the modularity and how it can be so many different things, but I think the CV90 MK IV with the 35 mm would be more appropriate and useful in more situations. Wouldn't mind them having both types, but given limited resources I would focus the IFVs as IFVs and tanks as tanks and have Leopard 2s and Abrams on one side and CV90s and Bradleys on the other.

I have to agree with@@AlexAnteroLammikko . 8 out of 10 times an IFV is the better tool for the job. And in the remaining 20% of cases you‘re way better off using a proper MBT. There are uses for vehicles like the CV90120, but they are limited to the situations in which an IFV is insufficient but a proper MBT isn’t available. With proper planning this is typically either the case in very small militaries that cannot justify a separate tank platform or in expeditionary forces that cannot justify the logistics footprint of a proper MBT. Neither is applicable to Ukraine‘s situation. Thus it’s better to spend the available resources on MBTs and IFVs.

@diedampfbrasse9815 күн бұрын
the Bundeswehr wasnt/isnt underfunded/underequipped, as we know now for certain the russian army was/is a paper tiger which couldnt compete with NATO forces on any level ... Ukraine had only a small fraction of what NATO has and still gets only a tiny fraction of what NATO spends on its own forces, yet it still manages to fight the russian army with favorable odds/casualty ratios and now even went to invade russia itself after years of conflict. So stop this nonsense of NATO/Germany being underfunded / underequipped, this never was the case since the end of the cold war. This new arms race among NATO members is a fearmongering scam just serving the arms industry and absolutely goes beyond what anyone would need to secure NATO. You have to be really terrible at math to look at the numbers and claim that NATO hasnt enough / wouldnt invest enough in its military. If we were smart we wouldnt have to increase our own military spending at all, simply directing a portion of that spending directly to Ukraine (rather then only giving the old stuff we replace) would fully cover what is needed to defeat russia and that investment would still be far less then what we spend right now.

I disagree with the criticism regarding the 40mm cannon’s limited rounds. While it may have fewer rounds loaded, I’d much rather have a weapon that packs a punch than one that merely irritates the enemy. Take the Puma, for example. It's an impressive machine, but its 30mm cannon, though capable, won’t do much more than temporarily obscure the enemy’s vision. it won’t deliver a knockout blow. Both vehicles are effective, but they serve different purposes based on their armament. Moreover, I’m pleased that Ukraine received the CV9040C. It’s one of the few early 2000s variants that boasts excellent protection and armor, with added mine protection and robust frontal and side defenses. Ultimately, debating which vehicle is superior is akin to arguing which caliber is better. 5.56mm or 7.62mm. Both have their merits, depending on the context and the mission requirements. 🇸🇪🦅🇺🇦

No piece of American tech given to Ukraine needed to be “tested and proven” by Ukrainians.

The CV9040 in Ukraine have stabilizers. The early Swedish Army vehicles without the stabilizer were all upgraded. The Marder actually has the best armor out of the three. There's one caveat here: there are insofar lots of publicised M1A2 Bradely battlefield videos, one Marder video from Kursk Oblast and none of the CV9040. Of course that is what I have watched and can recollect off the top of my head, but that is in pretty good comformity with reality. I wonder if the CV9040 is not seen performing missions on the battlefield due to logistical issues or some political constraints.

No, the CV90 hasn’t seen as much combat action as the Bradley. While it has been involved in some missions, it hasn’t been deployed as frequently. The reason Ukraine has chosen this approach is likely due to the CV90's greater value and more advanced technology. They are preserving these vehicles for strategic purposes. Additionally, it’s important to remember that Ukraine initially received only 50 CV90s, so their limited numbers make them even more valuable. In contrast, the Bradley has been available in greater numbers, which may explain why it’s seen more extensive use in combat.

I don't like tanks. They are sitting ducks for aerial vehicles like drones, helicopters and fighter jets. My respect for Ukrainians!

Basically they use the CV90 as artillery by shooting portée, it's not the purpose of the gun and it's further then normal action for the gun.

what you are up against relies on precision timing and high quality intel of your decision makers beyond what your mortal enemies can attain you have been wondering how it is possible your enemies seem to know things they cannot know Almost is watching you, having drawn a map long ago of the id of those in your circles of power, which it then uses to broadcast to your enemies your movements you must learn to hide your minds until the moment of action and at times be impossible to predict simply because; go left instead of right simply for no reason give yourself to random chance because it is the only thing in this world that is truly fair and free find a pair of dice and roll them, or flip a coin did you know that a human brain can be grown like a Bonsai tree, if one can learn how to stimulate neurogenesis?

"the marder cannot be penetrated by the BMP2" procedes to forget the marder in their video says up to 20mm cannon whilst bmp3 is using a 30mm cannon.

the marder A3 was specificaly made to withstand the russian 30mm cannon. it might only have a 20mm cannon itself but it has a very high velocity and penetration and no trouble dealing with bmp 1 2 and 3
