One thing to note is that Halland’s front turret is 360, while the Smaland’s front turret is not. Kinda weird for Wargaming to change that

Well, it's a tier 10 premium, so I don't have high hopes... but at least the consolation is that if she's way too expensive, you can always get a Halland for free, and not feel like she's a second-class replacement.

So, I think you may have high hopes, Terry! 😁 Do you have any information as to how this Småland is going to be released? Straight gamble box? 40 gamble box opening guarantee? Straight money or gold (I hope 😁)? Or, maybe a christmas-new year token grind event? 😅 That said, my dds of choice for t10 in order of priority are the Halland, the Kléber+Marceau, and the Daring. And I am comfortable with those 4. If the way wg releases Småland is too crazy, big deal, I can always wait until she is sold for real money or gold. Cheers, Terry, hope you regain your health soon!

Thanks! I have no info, and we're usually not allowed to talk about release dates and such, so I tend not to pay too much attention. Daring is one I still need to review, actually. Very powerful ship, from going up against her.

Have halland and i prefer to play her as aggressive as she can be plus no doubt slightly better reload time other than that pretty much similar like halland Overall good explanation as always

Yeah, these things can actually cause some grief for CVs. I know that everyone considers them OP, but there's actually some decent AA out there, if people know how to use it

Bah! 🤢 She is in a gamble box mixed with other garbage unwanted ships such as preussen black shimakaze black yamato! I would rather do a sonar roulette for 1 exact ship that I want than opening this kind of gamble box. The worst kind of gamble box possible. What christmas festivities.👎 Would rather participate in the wotb christmas holiday reverse auction this year. I hope the Slava is going to be released in a better format than this smoland.

Sigh. Yeah, that's what I was afraid of. It's a tier 10 premium, so this tends to happen. Especially that there's relatively little difference to her free sister, I don't quite see the appeal

If it was only a single ship inside that I wanted perhaps I might be inclined to try, but with multiple garbage ships as fillers and overall rip-offs other items not worthy of 2000 gold a try at all. I mean, who wants to pay 2000 gold for a bad goblin portrait or for the emperor dracula portrait. Nobody wants to pay 2000 gold for any portraits. It is a disappointment indeed after the long anticipation when it was first announced that the ship would be in wowsb. But, looking at the bright side, I get to save my money for something more useful this christmas holidays. My Halland is always there when I want to sail with her, she is fully geared for torp and AA which is my preferred style, and I dont think that she is in any shapes or forms worse than that smoland at all. I have no need to gamble for that smoland, she does not offer any significant advantages over my Halland. If I want a gunboat DD, I have the Daring, Friesland, and Marceau available. Perhaps in the future, if she was available for straight gold or money we could reconsider, bat as of now, I guess I shall just pass, and wait for The Pobeda aka Slava instead. That's pretty much what I was trying to convey - it's really a Halland, with some tradeoffs, and I was struggling to justify why someone would want one. On the flipside, we can be grateful that we don't get completely OP premiums that allow people to open their wallets for victory 😁 Merry Christmas to you & yours as well, and I'll be reviewing Slava soon.
