Swedish Home Guard Trains with U.S. Army Green Berets

Soldiers from the Swedish Home Guard (Hemvärnet) and U.S. Army Green Berets assigned to 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne) to enhance interoperability and readiness. The Home Guard is part of the Swedish Armed Forces and comprises nearly half of the Swedish Armed Forces' body of personnel. The Home Guard units are modern combat units with a main responsibility to protect, guard and monitor Swedish territory and also provide support to society in times of crisis. (U.S Army video by Sgt. @@kpl455 9 hole review did a whole episode on our most recent revision. As a Swede I'm offcourse biased but i Think our latest version is the most ultimate version of the platform and a statement to how a good platform the G3 really is. German engineering with Swedish ingenuity can't go wrong :)

They are being diplomatic. You will notice they say the same about everyone they work with. They are always impressed and note the professionalism/spirit/dedication of the particular unit they have been working with.

These people in the Swedish homegard are the most motivated and one of the best skilled soldiers. U might think that they are second to the regulary army. But these guys have all the local knowledge, and the are fighting for there familys. They are from all working skills, and will invent the shit off you if you try someting new. They will fight to the bitter end..... i know. Iam one of the 40000...right now

Home guard is not the best skilled soldiers. I see they use the useless G3 rifle. It is amazing that the sniper carrying the 15 kilo sniperrifle is also carrying the 5 kilo G3 - that is just stupid. You also see they use the BV206 vehicle, which is made of glasfibers. 1 G3 bullet into that vehicle and 10 soldiers is permanently removed from the ballefield. How stupid isn't that? No other support weapons is seen, and I guess that is scarce as well. I agree that they are motivated mostly because they are an incredible small unit compared to the population. And they knows the local terrain. It is not home defence that train with green beret, it is green beret that trains the home defence. That says a lot of the state of swedish military. But you are getting there, do not worry. But spare me for the cliche.

Swedish home guard are litterly what the people writing the 2th amendment thought of, a well organized militia, you could in practice keep your firearm at home if you have the right type of weapons safe and are well respected and trusted.

That is wrong. The 2nd amendment is about the right to bear arms in order to form a militia to combat the government when it becomes tyrannical. The swedish home guard IS the governments soldiers that swear an allegiance and total loyalty to the government EVEN when it becomes tyrannical. The swedish home guard is the soldiers that will be used to squash anyone who is a threat to the swedish government regardless of what the reason is for going against the government.

If the rebellion is of a size, then the armed forced will be used against swedes. The armed forces is loyal to the EU controlled government and does not care about swedish. The armed forces including home guard is total loyal to goverment only. There is no such thing that an armed force is loyal to a law or non-government organisation. Also in order to follow a law, someone must upheld this. If not the law is not in effect.

Not since 1931 has the army been used against the people. Ådalen shooting 1931 sparked an outcry, that topled the rightwinged goverment, and gave the socialist the power for the next 45 years... The swedish military is moving to a new rifle that will be standard for all branches, the g3 or ak4 as we call it has been long overdue for retierment. P.s the g3 is only used by the home guard as a main rifle, its used in other branches as a dmr

We have the excerisises in public spaces eg woods, moutains, beaches, so to not litter the brass are collected

Tror många i dagens hemvärn skulle bli ganska så sura på den kommentaren. Visst, medelåldern är högre än in den reguljära armen, men många ansluter direkt efter att deras ordinarie militärtjänst slutat och jag vet en hel del lite äldre "gubbar" som nog skulle slå dig med hästlängder.

Unfortunally the homeguard is extremely bad equiped. Fortunatelly no one outside our borders are threatening us. Unfortunatelly all the threat comes from within.
