Here is me trying to learn how to shoot a 101 year old rifle, sighted in a 300 yards, on a target at 100 yards. I missed a few.

I picked one up earlier this year. They are great rifles. For what it's worth, the easiest way to decock them is to open the bolt all the way, then pull the trigger while pushing the bolt forward. This drops the sear out of the way of the cocking shelf on the striker.

Swedish Mausers are fantastic rifles in a great cartridge. The move to a smaller bore cartridge around the turn of the century really changed up military arms (except in the US, because we were all about that .30 caliber) and encouraged the concept of higher velocity, flatter shooting ballistics. I had a wonderful Carl G M96 some years ago but it went out with a few other surplus pieces. I still have some Wolf Gold 6.5 Swede in one of my ammo cans and it reminds me of that thing every time I take inventory. Fantastic rifle in great shape, it should be a fun addition to your collection!

I looked for one for nearly a year before finding one and it's one of my favorites! It's also a 1916 date of manufacturer
