SWEDISH SAUSAGE PARTY - Pbil M/40 in War Thunder - OddBawZ

The Pbil m/40 in War Thunder is the low tier tank reward for the Export Order Event. The Pansarbil is basically an double sided armoured car with a 20mm cannon on top with a whopping 42mm of penetration. Just like your Dad! :)
The Pansarbil has an extreme lack of armour meaning it can be destroyed by most machineguns but it does have 6 crew members making it pretty difficult to take out.
The Pbil m40 is really fast. It's able to hit 70kph making it one of the fastest vehicles of its BR. You're going to need it... this thing has the turret rotation speed of your Mum! :)

Well, as another almost middle aged Swede with a long military history interest, the strength of the Swedish armed forces during the neutrality watch was to about 70% in infantry and fixed costal defence artillery fortifications with a mostly horse drawn artillery reserve. The remaining 30% came from the Navy (two "littoral battleships" (more like battle cruiser sized heavily armed and armored monitors) A few destroyers and a whole lot of motor torpedo boats and mine layers), the Airforce, and a slowly growing armored reserve.

@@dancamp6012 try branching out to other nations if you've only been playing one. You'll get experience in a wider range of playstyles. Especially if you're a German main, German tanks do not give much room to grow since the majority are just point and click.

The gun on the Pbil m/40 (Swedish one with an Akan cannon instead of the Madsen found on the m/39) was designed as an anti-tank and anti-air weapon. It was produced in early WWII.

I love the name Pansarbil (lit. "armor car") because its two root words are pretty much shared between Swedish and my native language, Finnish and have interesting etymologies. The Finnish word for armor, _panssari_ descends from Swedish, _pansar_, which further is descended from MLG, _pantzer_, related to the more commonly-known MHG descendant, _Panzer_ (yes, the word used in all Pz. tanks!) The Swedish word _bil_ is a clipping of _automobil_, which is present in Finnish as _automobiili_, probably influenced by Swedish as well. Edit: that formatting didn't work as I hoped it would've... I blame KZbin for not implementing a better markup engine!! I guess you could say... Ei menny niinku Strömsössä :^)

Dont think it's a HS 20mil, Oddz. Pretty sure it's a Bofors m/40 20mil. Uses one of the biggest 20mm shells of WW2: 20 X 145 mm.

Play the Fw 190 F-8. - has 1000kg bomb - 3 bomb drops - many other loadouts - fighter, but is designated as a ground attacker, so you can bring it and a 109 at low sp cost - high speed anti-pancakeing flaps - very little compression at high speeds - 50kg bombs are small but easy to drop with high precision and therefore still deadly - a lot smaller and nimbler target than a 410 or a 335 = harder to spot and hit for enemy AAs and planes

its an IFV, like a bradley, or a BMP. they arent heavily armored, but they can mess up larger vehicles. in real life you'd never want to face a eal tank in it, since the tank would destroy it easily, and despite what war thunder says, 50cal & 20mm isnt very effective on tanks
