Rather than try to "sell" you, I would like to offer one video clip, and a video interview to find and watch.. The clip, is of Craig, stating his position on Not making jokes, at all, of Britney Spears, during her troubling times. . The interview is Craig interviewing the Rev Desmond Tutu. He received an Emmy for that show. Instead of receiving it, in person, he chose to stay in the studio for his nightly show. Note: In ten years, he never missed a show. He chose instead, to send his producer{I forgot her name but it can be Googled}. Why? Because she had, unbeknownst to Craig, took it upon herself to find and book Rev Tutu for the show. If memory serves me, it took months. Craig sending the producer to receive the Emmy, for him, was not due to arrogance or disrespect on his part, it was more in humble acknowledgement that the interview and the subsequent award would not have been possible if not for the hard work and attention to detail of his producer. Maybe those two instances might serve to have you consider that there is more breath, sensitivity and soul to the man than you realize. He seemed to had bundled a combination of what everyone had done before, in bits and pieces. into a niche that worked for him. Flip Wilson had a sly, sneaky way of getting sexual innuendos past the censors, especially if you knew what to listen for. You had Laugh In , with its sexual and political content probably wouldn't do well in your eyes probably much less the faux Me Too crowd. Johnny had the couch, which sat smokers, drinkers and had its fair share of sexual innuendos and double entendres. Johnny had his double entendre laced, Tea Time Matinee theatre with buxom and funny Carole Wayne. Johnny told Dolly Parton one night, from his desk, that he'd give a year's wages to see what's under her blouse. Having previously been on his show, Dolly, unembarrassed, gave the world famous laugh and smile of hers and the audience joined in the fun. Craig had other "one time only" guests who would have been great repeat guests. It may not have been possible due to scheduling problems, as opposed to personality issues. Craig has also had a great many repeat guests, male and female, from Trace Atkins to Kristen Bell, to Julie Andrews to Carrie Fisher to Regis Philbin to Don Rickles and the list goes on and on. Although "creepy" is a schtick you disapprove of, I doubt very seriously that any of those mentioned guests and the many other guests would have felt so uptight and judgmental as you, sir. Just my humble thoughts..
