Wow this guy is really getting into Rio! I have been down there myself many times and I actually lived with a Brazilian women both down there and here in the US. As far as kissing, they like to kiss to both cheeks. It's actually a fake kiss and you don't even have to touch. But to me a kiss to the mouth is the same as up here in the US. I do like how skimpy the women there dress. They really like to show off when they have good figures and skimpy outfits. Indeed the beach in Rio and several other cities is the place to be. For me crime is not that bad considering that I come from a big US city with lots of crime. But I did get tired of Brazilians warning me constantly about crime. I did see a few wallet snatchings and my Brazilian friend got held up at gunpoint in Copa near the beach. I will say that if you have been to Miami, ATL, NYC so the crime in Rio is at that level. In any hot climate you do need to shower more often. In Rio I generally took a shower in the morning, when I got back to change for the evening out and sometimes before bed. That's two or three showers. Seems like alot but not really. These are 5 to 10 min washup real quick showers. I suspect that many gringos from Europe try to get by with a shower every other day. Nope, that's is no good ...

As a Brazilian, I consider 4 showers definitely an exaggeration. There isn't even time in the day for this if it's in the middle of the week when you work, unless it's a day off. Normally 2 showers are enough for most people, in the morning before going to work and at night. Brazil is a much hotter country than the USA and Europe, so if you don't shower daily you will sweat a lot and smell bad.

I have never understood the whole "foreigners don't take showers". Are Brazilians really hygenic compared to most places and do they take more showers than most, yes, but they are also outside in super hot humid temperatures walking a ton most of the time, which would explain the need to take that many showers per day. I've literally met Brazilian girls that thought I was going to smell bad, but were shocked when I didn't. Like, they literally had an expectation before meeting me that I might only take one shower a week. lol. Meanwhile, 99 percent of soap, shampoos and hygiene products are almost all imported or from international brands from other countries in Brazil. No there’s hardly any foreigners and not much of an Adult entertainment industry specifically dedicated to foreign men/women whatever in any kind of comparison, obviously it exists and is good but it’s no Pattaya or has ever been or ever will be! Despite many of the women claiming that foreigners thought they were easy i didn’t find this to be the case (unfortunately😂) if anything it was a bit polarised with people staying in their own groups in the various sections of the beach. Both countries are equally as dangerous in terms of crime but way more foreigners are deluded into thinking Thailand is safer somehow, i bury my head in my hands any time this is brought up. Less English is spoken although more younger people speak English than 22 years ago in Brazil, i met two Uber drivers who’d learned English by playing video games and their level was good and they were both quite educated.

They did try to change foreigners views of the Copacabana! In 2009 they shut down the Help Dicoteca in order to build a quirky building/museum of moving image. It has never opened and is still an unfinished building site and major eyesore. I suppose they had the World Cup and Olympics and there was a lot of political focus from outside that maybe the male audience might enjoy themselves too much. In my view this has been a total disaster for the area. When i asked many of the older Brazilians about the crime in Copacabana they all said it was worse than the time i came 22 years ago. Really they should have reopened Help and many of the local taxi drivers and restaurant owners and even street hustlers would still have an income for the last 15 years and the tourists and those providing a hookup would still have a safe place to go and be drawn away from even worse activities. As you documented in your videos that drugging gangs are now targeting tourists who go out drinking in Lapa. Instead money has been embezzled by building companies and politicians as usual. When i went 22 years ago women’s bikinis covered way more of their backside but I’m not complaining of this new fashion lols😂 Like you i walked down Rua Ferreira in Leblon and was surprised to see almost everyone sitting down talking, just seems soo strange when Brazilians are renowned for their social dances and Samba. Have you ever been on a subway in Paris or Berlin? The smell is absolutely terrible, it's clear that many people don't shower daily.
