Sweet 15 Year Old Shih Tzu Dog Enjoys Treats 🍖😋 | Crystal Clear Koi Fish Pond Update 💦🐟

Lacey is still doing well at 15 years old and enjoying her treats, as usual 🍖😂 See our crystal clear backyard Koi and Goldfish pond 💦🐟 We are getting ready to put the net on to catch the falling leaves 🍂🍁🍂 The fish stop eating around the end of October, hibernate all winter long, and then start to eat again towards the end of April.

A most beautiful, lovely, funny, treat eating, great at sleeping, radiant Shih Tzu in the world: Lacey!!! 💝💝💝💝💝💝💝💝Finding you here many years ago for me was the discovery of a precious gift. Losing my dear Shih Tzu Christa many years ago, you were a wonderful replacement. Every video began with you doing fun zoomies! I have always enjoyed your zoomies, Lacey! I must admit: your sister, Lexi cat, scared me most of the time; you trying to get close to her followed by her trying to swat you away. I kept thinking: one of these days, this cat is going to rip one of Lacey's eyeballs right out of its socket! Of course, that never happened. In time, she came to tolerate you better, which was such a relief to me! Long ago, you started honing your craft of getting the most treats from your loving mother [♥️DIANE♥️] & you were so very persistent! Over the years, she has loosened her grip on your treats & you don't have to beg [which I love to watch you do] for them anymore. You have matured to a Fabulous Fifteen & the watching you enjoy eating your treats makes me want to stick my hand through my phone & ask Diane if I can have a treat! Whatever she has given you all these years, you eat them like they are the best treats in the world! I enjoyed your outdoor walks, Lacey. The land around your home is so beautiful! All those gorgeous trees. You prancing in front of your mother leading the way! Such a cute switch when you walked with that lovely tail. Enjoying the outdoors surrounding your large & gorgeous home. Stopping off to take a check on your nice pond filled with pretty fish that varied in color, with the huge Koi really standing out. Ultimately, time to come in to get a drink of water. I had never seen such a thing like your water bottle stand, Lacey. I would be amazed at the amount of water you would drink; many times I thought: She is going to suck every drop of water out of that bottle. So cute, it was as if you couldn't get enough water! So, back inside you were. Ready to explore the rooms in your home, look for Lexi to initiate some type of response from her, which was a swipe followed by her relocating to get away from you. The 2 of you were so very funny to me. She would meow sometimes, I think she was saying "Back off!" And, she meowed sometimes when Diane would reach down to rub her coat, or make that sound Diane would make trying to coax her out of her comfort areas. Waiting to see if she would come out was part of the fun for me. Lexi was definitely her own cat [Diane, I started to say person!🤣] A cat filled with a quiet yet consistent personality! Now, Lacey, I loved watching you rip up all the paper Diane would give you; I just watched in awe; I had never seen anything quite like that. Always amazed me as I watch paper torn to pieces like that. Lacey, you were [& are] very special! You are you own type of Shih Tzu. Even at Christmas time, your mother would have gotten you [Oops; it might have been Santa] the most wonderful presents! However, you were more focused on tearing up the tissue papers in which the toys were wrapped! Vintage Lacey Shih Tzu!!! And a pile of toys you had/have. You have made me laugh so hard over the years. My favorite memory is when it was nearing Halloween & I believe your mother activated the Skeleton sitting on a motorcycle: the sounds that came from that & watching you run the opposite direction were hilarious; I sometimes played that over & over again; my depraved mind:🤣🤣🤣. Oh, so many memories of you, Lacey Shih Tzu! I have enjoyed watching you give your mother the "Side Eye!" You are the most beautiful & funny Shih Tzu I have ever seen! Such personality! I watched you look for Lexi after she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Sometimes, I think you were talking to her. Your mother would ask you what you were doing. I remember thinking: if she ever answers Diane in English, I am going to hit my head. The mind can be an interesting thing! I'm just realizing how long this comment is & I'm not sure why! Maybe it's because I probably won't be seeing you as often as I have. We have all matured, Lacey: you at 15 years old, me at 61 years old, & Diane at ??? Well, we don't have to reveal our ages do we?! I know you will continue to be fed those treats you used to beg for & have to Sit, Play Dead, or Give Me Five to Diane for! You know, Lacey, you look so beautiful when you are asleep: taking your many naps. I'm sure your parents are just delighted hearing you snore!!! You never have looked more peaceful & radiant as you do when napping. Just citing some wonderful memories that have led us to today, Lacey Shih Tzu. Despite your health challenges, you "wear it well" shall me say. I have some myself. And we both will just keep on pressing on doing this adventure called LIFE. We are older now, so I guess it is time to be kinder & gentler, right Lacey? Maybe. Oh! My absolute favorite vision of you: when you are laying on what I think is the kitchen tile floor with your arm(s) to your side? Just a close up picture of your gorgeous face looking straight ahead with your lovely hair & your beautiful, big, round brown eyes! You strike a radiant pose lying there; it was shown regularly years ago. Your video showed you outside zooming around & then we come inside to see you lying there like a Cover Girl! Well, I had better start my day. Just wanted to talk about you & see you. Lacey Shih Tzu, those of us who love you just see "you!" I know I am looking at a 15 year old Shih Tzu, but I still see your look from years ago. They are all you: the most endearing & special Lacey Shih Tzu! Oh how I do love you!!! It's probably for the best that you've decided to give Lacey some good old Lacey time away from the spotlight. A grand old lady like Lacey needs her beauty sleep💅 (don't tell Lacey I said that), and at 15 there almost literally isn't anything better than just having good old naps and treats. The main thing is, whether just napping or not, that Lacey is a happy girl, and she sure looks pretty happy to me 🐶😍 It's always a tinge of sadness at the end of another summer when the pond cover is placed over the pond. The pond and the plants are still looking gorgeous and green - guess it's down to the summers lasting longer now and into October. Although it's really starting to kick in now here with the colder nights and frosts. I'm sure the Koi know that winter is coming. 🍁🍂The big yellow Koi looks like it has absorbed all the summer sun 🐠🐟🌞 So beautiful. Hi there Lacey's Uncle John! Lacey has mellowed in her golden years, but I am thankful that she is doing well. The highlights of her day are nice long naps 😴 and lots of treats, as you well know 🍖😂 I will still post pictures to her community tab here on YT and I plan to post a lot of the 'shorts' videos. I can make a ton of them from her and Lexi's older videos 🐶😼👍🏻 I always hate when the pond net goes on, but the leaves are really starting to drop now and we keep seeing the heron on our outside cameras. We are keeping the motion water sprinklers on (at least until it starts to freeze here) to try to keep him from coming back even thought the net is on now. Hi Diane , Cocco and I care about Lacey. He loves to watch old videos of Lacey. I can see she is struggling to move around. Cocco is 16 and doesn't have mobility issues at all. Thank God.But he's been diagnosed with asthma n he gets breathing treatments 3xs a day. I caved and made him a inside potty. Large litter box ,small amount natural wood litter, pee wee pad on top. Since he has taken to it his breathing is much better. His vet said don't use dusty litter.His allergy meds don't seem to really help other than to make him sleep more. But the breathing treatments have cut down his coughing. I also have started to make him drink from a cup . He drinks to fast from his water bowl. And it makes him cough. I run either a small vicks vaporizer menthol pads or pure eucalyptus oil in a burner. Those two things n the breathing treatments are great. Lacey is looking a bit in need of a good bath. I heat up my bathroom with a cube heater, put him on my wide shower bench chair on a towel. Not slippery at all and use my hand held shower . Thankfully Cocco still loves a good relaxing bath. I get appropriately un dressed and sit on the side of my tub with the shower curtain liner under me n behind me. I couldn't take him to a groomer they go to fast for him. After bathing I use about 3 big old fluffy bath towels on him. Then I take a shower. I put a dry 4th towel on the floor he helps dry him self. After I am done he gets a good blow dry. I do give him breaks and we listen to Music on KZbin. Of course I only use Isle of dog shampoo and conditioner. Have a nice week Trena ,Cocco's momma

Hello adorable Lacey and her mon, Diane. ❤️🐶🥰 I discovered Lacey channel last summer through KZbin recommendation. Seeing beautiful Lacey and her sister Lexi always makes me smiles - many many smiles. Lacey has beautiful eyes. She always look at the camera ( her mom ) with those beautiful loving puppy’s eyes. In every video I can see how Lacey’s mom love for Lacey. Even at 15, Lacey is still adorable and her coat is well kept and beautiful. It requires a daily work to keep Shih Tzu’s coat so beautiful. She always enjoys her treats, that’s for sure! 🍖😋😂 She sure does sleep a lot during the day now, so I guess that is why she wakes me up a few times during the night and then she wants her treats and to go potty 🤭 The pond still looks great and we don’t like having to put the net on already, but there are too many leaves 🍂 that will be falling down.
