Sweet and Sour Fish with Ohana! Spearfishing Hawai’i with Kimi Werner - Catch and Cook

Another family day on the ocean starts with Buddy floating a long on a boogie board with mom Kimi Werner as she gets fish for an ‘ohana pa’ina! So many local Hawaiian classic meals come together as does the singing and love shared from one generation to the next. Kimi and family return to the north shore to share a very special recipe, sweet sour fish!

Yes, it's so wonderful when you can do what you love and bring the little ones along. Of course you can't move as fast and get things done as quickly as you normally would, but it's a teaching moment for the kids when you let them get involved. While it looks like the kids are making a mess, they're actually learning from you and bonding with you. They won't remember all of the things that you've done for them, but they will always remember being loved by you. When my kids were toddlers, they always wanted to help mommy in the kitchen, and I thought, "Oh my goodness, this is gonna get messy!" but I let them "cook" anyway. Well, today they are teenagers and they are excellent cooks and bakers, and are very sweet girls. Buddy is so blessed with a mommy who lets him experience life in real time. Btw, my 3 daughters and I are in Buddy's unofficial fan club! We love him so much! It's fun watching him grow.
