@markfisher13927 ай бұрын
It had derailed a week ago or so as the second unit on the eastbound #4 (the Southwest Chief) somewhere in Kansas. Only one truck derailed, but needed BNSF's help to pull the consist back, unhook the leading P42, and reassemble the train. The passengers were offloaded to buses in the meantime, and the rest of the trainset eventually made it to Chicago sans passengers. They got this loco rerailed and checked out and BNSF was delivering back to Chicago.

I've completed nearly 53 circles around the sun. Twice in my life, I have lived right next to two live train tracks. Both had trains about once an hour (It could have been worse...It could have been the Chicago L.) One had a crossing (I never met the engineers, but I knew who was driving that train by how they blew that four blasts.) the other had a siding, and sometimes the same train engines would idle for 2,3, 4, 6 days on that siding. I wasn't pleased with either of those setups, but I signed up for it. Why in the world would people randomly throw rocks at trains (or anything, really)? I guess some folk are just... @andrewlaverghetta7157 ай бұрын
I believe they have quite a few people who can control them at different times. I wonder if they’re volunteers or otherwise. You can usually tell when the zoom is in post because you lose the VR - Location and time stamp at the top… and it just generally looks worse. I don’t recall exactly, but the coyote or fox? looked properly zoomed and not in post.

@joepeach9977 ай бұрын
Some locations have a PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) camera. If a Moderator is at that area you will see movement.If not, the camera might be on "Auto", allowing it to move around following a preset pattern. When the video is being edited, many adjustments can be done, but zooming in digitally will not be as good as optically. I'm oversimplifying this.
