Indeed. Sounds like someone is utterly out of touch with the progression of technology. Somebody also needs to educate them on the existence of LA Noire as well if they think you can't scan a real face. Sure Brendan McNamara pushed his employees like slaves to develop the game, to the point where they described him as the worst person to work for in game development from what I hear, but the results are something that cannot be disputed. Especially with how the face-capture tech they used for a game that came out over a decade ago managed to not only take every detail of the actors' faces, but even the creases on their faces when they speak. So immediately, a game from 11 years ago completely debunks this statement of "You can't scan real faces."

Most of Japan's devs and even smaller indie devs in both west and Japan and some mid sized western devs still put a lot of work to make their characters look good, it's just these AAA games that leverage on their marketing/established IPs to make a shit ton of money that are making these piss poor looking games or indie devs that just don't care and are aiming to make a quick buck on games that just barely make it past the scam territory. funnily enough, when I saw the remaster of Modern Warfare 2, I mistook one cutscene for a live action recording. Lighting was amazing, and the characters looked as real as you would expect through a camera with the slightest blur filter (cant find a better word that blur). Oh and SBI is going all control freak on Unknown 9's Community page. And yes, it's SBI themselves, not Steam. As per guidelines, devs and publishers control the Community pages of their own games, not Steam. Just wanted to make sure that mistake doesn't spread here, like it has in other comments sections.
