@@AVM26 The only thing that makes games woke is when the inclusion is pushed in your face and down your throat without any options to shut it down. Idk about solasta, but if you didn't like a character in bg3 you could straight up end them, leave, exile them etc... Gale for example was too much of a love sick puppy so I just sent him off and voila, same with astarion and his flamboyant self. I just didn't care about them and let them be. There are plenty of games that are inclusive, but still work. SBI tends to just make the story absolute trash with crappy gameplay.

I am a huge fan of Drizzt and bought this game, but after a few hours of play, I never picked it up again. What I found strange, was that when I saw the Dragon Age veilguard gameplay, it used the same mechanics. Why would they use the same mechanics that failed in the past? And the graphics did not seem to have improved the last 3 years at all.

Yeah, MTG has been woke for a while now. Plus, they kind of kicked power creep into overdrive a couple years ago (not as bad as some other card games, but still enough to be blatantly noticeable within the span of less than a year), so I haven't really been a consistent customer of theirs for a while now. I think all I've picked up in the past few years is a couple of Jumpstart packs, and that's it. Said purchasing coming to a grinding halt with the introduction of un-finity (or whatever it's called), for obvious woke reasons. No more cards for me. Now when I want new cards, I just design my own that follow the power scaling that's a bit more reigned in, and make physical copies. Don't even need Wizards anymore.

WoTC actually have a creator who publicly claims to be "the creator of the original game". They are actually trying to completely erase Gary & Dave from D&D history. I have criticized a multitude of the new rules talked about on FB reels. Did you know that with a combination of skills provided by changing classes that a PC can have up to (and perhaps beyond) 100 attacks in a single combat turn. I told them "You're taking D&D combat and adding Street Fighter (video game) attacks to it. Even Bruce Lee could not hit 100 times before you could react.

Jeebus I remember pre-ordering this, absolute pap like Werewolf the Apocalyspe... Not just because of Sweet Baby Inc., but the fact it was linear, repetitive and annoying game Hasbro/WoTC commissioned to milk not just the D&D franchise but R.A. Sapvatores The Crystal Shard... Played it for a couple of weeks, went back to D2 or ESO. A lesson learnt.

The Baldur's Gate series is still pretty solid. It is just bizarre though. The drow are like the perfect race for the shriekers. The game is super fun and higher levels play like a soulslike, the only problem I found was my wife had motion sick for the camera movement. It was weird and you had to add blur or she couldn t play. Beyond that it is a beautiful game. Haven t seen a single woke thing in it at all. But people hated it from the beginning, it was buggy and had many problems I believe were solved in the end.

I mean it's no great loss. I LOVE the Legend of Drizzt books, and this game was a massive disappointment, not just to me, but to my dad who introduced me to these characters and books. The gameplay was so bad, and just downright difficult it made me miss Dark Souls. The characters looked nothing like what they did before this, and they went with the 5E watered down version of the characters, all and all. Good riddance.

Played the game in SP and enjoyed it until the end (which I found almost impossible via "broken" SP design) and hoped the devs would polish the game after release feedback. Never felt that it was "woke" (and I'm usually aware of that). Not even sure what SBI would have done on this (there's very little dialogue and story). Too bad. Wasn't a great game, but wasn't terrible either.
