Jodie was living in a flat where she could hear her neighbors abusing Ted next door. They would chain him up and leave him for hours to sit alone. Jodie finally wrote them a letter saying “If you don’t want him, I’ll take him” and that was that. Ted was terrified of everything when he came to Jodie's home, but after giving him his space and having patience, Ted slowly started to come out of his shell. He is now playful, loving and social.

2 years ago I saved my Dogo Argentina who was then 3 years old from a shelter where he was on death row because of extreme aggression towards humans he had been confiscated by the police from a junkie who had him chained up in the garde 24/24 7 days a week without even a doghouse or any shelter plus he use to beat him with a baton. At first they didn't wanna give him to me the just wanted to euthanize him cause of his aggression, but I begged them to give him a chance, so had to sign a contract that it was on my own risk and responsibilities if something would happen. First 6 months he hide in corner in the house and growled and went in to attack mode when I came close but with lots of patience, a silk glove and tons of love and understanding he finally became a sweet boy and trusted me, he never had a toy before in his life first bone a gave him he didn't even know what to do with it, now he's my most precious thing in the world, he plays in the garden, chase his ball, play tug of war with ropes, only thing he doesn't like strangers he goes immediately in attack mode, but to me he's a sweet and loving clown, every abused dog needs a second chance in life ❤❤❤

Okay it's not for everybody to get an abused power breed dog, u need to be very understanding and have lots of patience 'cause they will charge at you in the begin,, what's normal' cause their trust in humans has been destroyed, but if you can gain it back you get a lot of love and companion back eventually. Bad dogs don't exist it's the wrong owners who make them like that

She shouldn't have had to face those people alone but clearly the RSPCA is just a bureaucratic nightmare neglecting to do its job just like most bureaucracies (shameful). Oh good onya, Jodie. My abused rescue, Maude’s story is similar. Came to me via a rescue after being picked up on the streets. Broom. Similar. Food bowl. Had to stand well away from her before she’d eat. Coming through doorways, she’d scuttle out of the way. Clearly she’d been kicked. Took years for her to recover from that demon. She is the gentlest, sweetest, most loving, brightest, most faithful girl imaginable. Our love is mutual and I am so blessed to be loved by this wondrous girl. Love and respect.
