I've been growing up with english bullterriers since I was 3, today I'am 26 and still get them. They are very energetic and strong but certainly not aggressive, they have been bred to be loyal family companion and defender, not fighting dog (tho they were sometimes used for hunting). Truly a friends for a life.

I wish Bowie could live forever with Ziggy, that kind of bond is magical. Too many people accept the stereotype of bulldogs, they never see the actual love, fun, goofiness or lyalty these breeds have. The gained "nanny dog" status for a reason.
