Maki The Blues Guitar "Queen". We are proud of her being Japanese.
I sure didn't know Japan had such a thriving Blues scene. Cool. Thumbs up!

I heard Koko Taylor perform live in Texas, just 3 years before her passing. Louden played guitar. Shun was not present at that time, so I was unfamiliar with him. I've since read he played with the late Junior Wells, and jammed with Buddy Guy. Shun is truly superb. Add Maki Shizusawa and Kumi Adachi (both great female guitarists), and Japanese blues do indeed, come alive! I would like to see all 3 of these great Japanese guitarists perform with Eric Clapton. He'd like them, I know!

Shun played with the late, great Koko Taylor for many years and I was fortunate to see the group live, which included Shun and Taylor's band leader, guitarist Vino Louden. Shun and Vino on stage, no better pair of blues guitarists anywhere.

Anyway, Koko "QUEEN" Taylor needed Shun's sound. I love it.
