Look up Orange Mound. We were never free until we could buy a house. 1890. It started then. What u just seen Obama doing comes from the black men in Memphis that finally owed a home. A neighborhood. They sat around all wkend long singin just like that. Everybody would say something short and sweat and pass it to the next guy. Then came the instruments. And that ladies and gentlemen, that is where we get our music from. Some of yall knew it was Memphis, but couldn't pin point it. Blues, jazz, rock and roll, rap , funk, disco, etc etc. As soon as we had a neighborhood that we actually owed, u get the rest.

My now late older brother: I lost him to cancer about five years and a half ago. He once jammed with B.B. King ('Sweet Little Angel') live. He also performed for the Clintons at their second inaguaral; and then he spent the night together at Keith Richards' house (numerous times), whereupon they jammed on every old blues tune they could remember. And he voted for Trump. One of the songs he recorded with Keith Richards (my family has it on tape) was Robert Johnson's "You Can't Kill Me Twice, So You Might As Well Love Me." True story!

+irregardless actually its pretty cool that obama is a cool dude but its basically meaningless. angela merkel should do a good job. thats it. everything else is unimportant
@irregardless16779 жыл бұрын
+BuGGyBoBerl Of course, don't take that comment too serious.^^ I think, both of them suck at doing a good job. I don't know how Americans think about Obama's achievements in the country, but his foreign policy is a catastrophe (especially, I think of Libya and the Ukraine). Merkel is the chancellor of the lobbyists, the creative cabinets and the faked statistics. And of course, she was to one to join the Iraq war, to apple-polish the U.S. in the NSA scandal and to forthrightly give up control in the refugee crisis. But at least, Obama can sing...
@BuGGyBoBerl9 жыл бұрын
irregardless libya and ukraine? idk but obama and the usa itself dont have much influence here. also i dont rly think merkel is the chancellor of lobbyists. her recent way to handle refugees isnt something the big lobby parties want to see. also it would be really weird if a dr. rer nat is into fake statistics. (i dont wanna start a discussion here because idc about both much but thats just a few things that jump into my mind here)
@irregardless16779 жыл бұрын
+BuGGyBoBerl You're certainly right that her way to treat refugees is not in the lobbyists' interest. But the interests of the German automotive industries heavily influenced European emission regulation standards, where she changed her opinion in the last minute. Also, the CDU (her party) was the one to block the ratification of the anti-corruption convention in Germany. Probably this is just a nice coincidence with the fact that the CDU gets by far the highest donations from industry and is responsible for by far the most lobbyist cards (those that a lobbyist needs to enter the Bundestag). As to the statistics: She is frequently praised for having achieved historically-low joblessness quote, but this is to large extent a story about who appears in the statistics and who doesn't (for example: Now, ill people don't appear in the joblessness statistics any longer). Remember that it was Obama's decision to intervene in Libya (unlike Syria) when the use of chemical weapons was reported (remember the reported use of weapons of mass destruction by Hussein that never were actually found?). Even Brzezinski criticized him for that step! As to the Ukraine, he is certainly not the only one to blame, it's the entire Western world. But there is no excuse for arming these fascists.
@BuGGyBoBerl9 жыл бұрын
irregardless whats up with the emission thing? its not like the standards are ridicolously high or above every level regarding health. corruption: thats her party not her. cant blame her for that. also i think 21.2.2014 they agreed? or do you mean something else? stastics: again thats not her fault. others praise her for that. obama: well yeah he have influence here and depending how you see it he isnt free of guilt but there are 2 points i want to add. 1. usa dont have really big influence here, more or less a minor part- 2. obama isnt a dictator. actually he is pretty weak because they have the minority in both.

Truthfully, its not about "swag" and soul. Being able to sing, entertain, and swoon people is nothing that makes a good President. A good leader makes the difficult choices, even if they piss off or upset the lay population. Putting the nation first, doing things that bring jobs, improve economy, and getting us out of a absurd global agreements is the difficult work. Not that Obama wasn't likeable, very cool indeed, but the democrat policies were killing jobs and the inner cities hurting. I truly felt America divided more during his tenure, it came to a head and exposed with Trump's election. We gotta respect and support our law enforcement and U.S. Veterans....

Aaron Spina They've done several classic Blues tunes and many R&B songs and did a good job with most of them. Mick is a good singer and has charisma, but he never had the best voice, and certainly didn't have the right type of voice to be a great pure Blues singer. Also the fact that he's English has some bearing on the matter, and the fact that he's an old man now. Many singers lose their vocal power as they get older, and some lose their voices entirely. He did the best he could.
@aaronspina9 жыл бұрын
***** you're right... I shouldn't have said they didn't play blues.. my point was Mick is not a blues man, he's a rock star. Which is cool and everything... but if you're listing off blues players to come and play the big gig... I just don't know who said "oh Mick Jagger should come sing!"
@psychkoala9 жыл бұрын
Ha, ha. I understand your point... but let's face it, almost all the Blues legends have done passed on, and most of the few who are still alive were at that ceremony. I'm guessing they wanted a big name- someone EVERYONE knows about. The Stones are living legends, the most famous Rock band in the world still extant, and they have recorded a substantial number of Blues & R&B songs. Even their name is taken from a Muddy Waters song, so I think we can at least say they are a Blues-related band. Also, Mick blows a pretty good Blues Harp from time to time.
