Pat Benetar covered this song as her first single. Many have covered their songs.... This track is off the Album Sweet Fanny Adams and this video is taken from an unreleased special recorded for the German tv show Musikladen. If you want to see the drummer (Mick Tucker) at his best watch the "Man With The Golden Arm" footage from this show. One of the most under rated rock drummers ever.

You are so right about Mick Tucker. I've never seen his name listed in any Top 100 polls (not that it really matters) rating rock drummers. The title of under rated gets tossed around lightly nowadays. Here, it is absolutely appropriate.

The Sweet, changed Lead Vocalists from song to song, and as you noticed, also traded off Lead Vocals in the same song, some times several times during a song. Allowed them to be the most varied Rock Group of all time going from Saccharine Ballad's like Love Is Like Oxygen, to Pop Rock, Fox On The Run, Little Willie, all the way to the first Speed Metal songs in Sweet FA, and Set Me Free. Enjoy the rabbit hole.

Normally I would say listen to the studio version but this Live version killed it. This shows how good Sweet really was. The blonde lead singer Brian Connolly didn't sing lead on the record cause he got mugged and kicked in throat so the bass player Steve Priest sang it instead. But as you can see in this this performance they alternate between the verses.

The reason Steve the singer gives a weird look when Brian stars singing is that the original song was sung be Steve entirely. Brian is the lead singer, but Steve did No You Don’t on record. On this version they trade off lines. My guess is because Brian being the lead singer wanted to be part of the song and didn’t want to be sitting back playing piano or something. Plus,Brian is a monster singer and sung the hell out of it. So they did it where they traded off lyrics. Brian brings a lot of grit to the song singing it with his voice. though Steve is also a great vocalist in his own right). They often do songs where Brian’s sings most of it but Steve interjects a few lines. They set this one the same way. Maybe Steve forgot that they had decided to do the song differently or,he was just giving a look as an inside joke since he was supposed to be the guy who sang the song according to the record. This version is better than the one on record.
