Just wanted you to know I am so inspired by your work. I am working on a canvas now and I decided to include a tree like yours. I Will let you know when I get the video uploaded. This turned out beautiful. And you are absolutely beautiful also which certainly makes this canvas shine! Thanks for sharing this lovely project.

You are so cool to watch what talent. You made me miss the cedar trees using the cedar in the layout, I used to live in Whonnock part of Maple Ridge. I look out the window now and its beautiful but all white. Enjoy!!

Aside from the obvious talent which is wonderful to watch as you create, I really appreciate the encouragement you convey to try this process and to not be afraid. I will now use precious gigo-byte allotment to watch the second video because I know it is so worth it. Thanks you so much.

Ok, part one watched. Love the chicken wire & effect of bunching up tissue paper. I SO need more gesso than my little bottle; love it & realise now (too late) that I should'v spent more time on that part of mine. But what is great about your voice over is everything we.learn from?! Ok, part 2, Yay!! :)

I so wish my mind worked like this!! I NEVER would've thought to use real leaves & branches!! Those cedar type branches make the most amazing texture & I have a yard full of them!!! My poor hubby won't know what to think of me next spring....lol!! Thanks so much for that inspiration. I giggled when you said you kept the metal lid off a frozen juice container as I've looked at the lids from my tin cans & keep thinking I should be able to use those for something!! Off to watch part two. :0)

I love the process....you have done a beautiful job. I appriciate the time that you took to share this with us. I do have a question. What printer do you use to print out your pictures. I print my pictures out and then have to set them with a clear spray before I use anything on top of them. My ink bleeds if I don't. What's your secret? Thank you Lee

I absolutely love all the texture you got from all the different things you added. I love to use leaves in my crafting. I'm covered the backs with Versamark and stamped with them before, but never thought to use them in a project. Can't wait to see part 2! TFS, Heather

So Leanne, I finally found Part 1 and now see how this whole process started. The tissue paper sure did give the texture for a tree. I collected and pressed leaves this Fall and was wondering if I could incorporate them into a project or would they just deteriorate and crumble on me. You also used cedar which I had wondered about too. I will certainly give it a try. Wonderful artsy project, loved it all. Sandra in Ontario.

Have you ever made one that you were not happy with and if you have, how did you go about making it more appealing? Working on one based on this video.. and I havent dared to glue any of the items down cause I am not sure I like how it looks. Worried if I do glue it and dont like it.. how can it be corrected or changed?

I am so going to attempt to do this technique. So lost on where to begin. I have a 16" x 12" canvas, and my picture is 9" high x 7" wide.. How do you choose which orientation you put your canvas in for your picture? I want it to be pleasing to the eye but I just can't figure out which way is best. Thanks

Thank you so much for doing this start to finish. Love the voice over, I'm one of the ones who requested it. I would so be doing more mixed media canvases myself right now except I'm in the middle of a move and we're leaving the day after Christmas. Then we be in a tiny apartment for 3 months and my supplies will be limited. But look out when I get settled again. I'll share with you when I do. My family is seriously laughing at me because I'm having to part with some of my "trash".

You can use Elmer's, but water it down: half Elmer's, half water, and mix it well! :) If you make a large batch, it keeps really well; just make sure you put the mixture in an air-tight container such as a glass jar with lid (used jam jars are great for this!). Hope this helps!
