3 days with a hard freeze and it is time to get the sweet potatoes picked. I have in the ground, in raised beds,in containers and in grow bags. Which way worked best this year? It is different every year.

I am always fascinated on how you turned something into many kind of dishes. They are so mouth watering 🤤! And it's an honor to have you visit our channel, we can discuss more about our experiences in harvesting and building farms.

When you pulled out the bowling ball size ones you pulled out one shaped like a bowling pin and I just started laughing 😅

I am actually from Lawrenceville. Born and raised but have since moved up here to NW Georgia. Still have a lot of family and friends out that way and was kinda curious as to when you planted your sweet potatoes this year. Seems like everytime I try to grow them, all i get is vines. I'm considering growing some in the actual ground this year, because in past years I was trying to grow them in containers. What seems to be the best all around sweet potato in your opinion? Taste wise and also size.

I live in Northeast GA and I planted mine in the beginning of June and I had an amazing harvest! I just bought organic sweet potatoes from krogers and started growing the slips from them indoors on a heat mat.

Agree with Anna, North Georgia too. I think last week of May, leave them in until first frost. Need a lot of sun and warm days. Got a big harvest too this year 120 + lbs. Best luck!

@@evboudreau87 Maybe thats what it was, our plants seemed to have died back too early and we just went ahead and harvested em. Do ya'll by chance pinch the blooms off?
