@@zekebaumann7236 for the song maybe, but for the character, nah, he has some form of a connection with a demigod/god (I think, I can't remember the exact lore for these characters rn) Edit: wait, think I remember lore, in the first "cosmic entities" line where he spins with that other character. That other character is a reincarnation of a god (or demi god) i'm pretty sure. Cuz on this channel there's previous video (the plagues video) where the character that he spins with wakes up after dreaming about a battle between gods (most likely remember a past life)

So this is literally one of my favorite things right now. I’m trying to grow as an artist and though I only recently found this a month ago, I’ve watched it 50+ times (more every week) and it has become one of those staple art pieces that I think will continue to inspire me for years. Wow I've refound this after four years and it's just brought back so many memories 😭❤️ I found this while I was in a tough spot, struggling with possibly the worst mental health I've ever had. Not gonna go into detail, but it was awful. I watched this animatic on REPEAT as the colours, the story, the characters were just SO mesmerising (and still are). Looking back on this just brought back so many positive memories from that time which I honestly thought I didn't have? I don't know what im trying to say, but this has a very special place in my heart and it's wild how much art can impact someone. I was legitimately scared this was going to have a dark ending and the guy was going to relapse, so I was beyond relieved to see him toss the pill. Sure smoking is bad, I know from seeing people deal with the consequences in my day to day life, but I have also seen them have an easier time quitting those over other drugs.

The lesson Caln learned is that you don't need drugs to have a good time; you just need friends, and to get out and _do_ stuff with them. The lesson Ewan taught/learned is that sometimes people need help, and the best thing you can do for them is be a good friend. Either or both of those can be considered the moral. :)

Some of the early-video implications is that Caln's _only_ source of entertainment was those pills, which is not okay; post-video, he could probably add the pills back to his entertainment list and just have them be "one of" his fun-time things instead of his "only" thing.

that’s what an “animatic” IS, it’s the step used after storyboarding and before animation

@@angelinahilton1234 Actually there is a difference. Animatics usually barely have any movement. I can't really explain it tho since English isn't my first language and I'm already bad at explaining... But rough animation is done before the clean up and after the keyframes which are done after the storyboard is turned into an Animatics (animatics are much rougher and often replace things like cars and buildings with simple shapes or even photos.
