there seems to be glitch at the checkpoint with 173 boxes, i found going back and jumping on the unphased platform magically gives you 174 when you respawn. Worked for me.

I kept missing one or two boxes and I see a lot of people are to. I think it comes down to the few times theres a single box that you need to phase in with the 2 bastards throwing bones in front of it. The outline of the unphased boxes can be easy to miss in black and white.

At 6:40, for some reason your box count corrects to 176 for no reason. You check and then it just jumps from 175 to 176

Wow. This isn't a rare occurrence, sadly. It's likely that something hit a box later on in the level. It happens a lot throughout the game.

At 4:21 mark where you slide under the 2 tnt boxes, I kept messing this up. but I found it easier to just jump on the first tnt box and jump over the rest instead but other than that this helped me a lot, cheers

@@SweetJohnnyCage I did! I literally follow you step by step and I’m one box down! 😫 I think it’s the actual activation box. A glitch or something. It’s from that stretch of the game because boxes Match up before. Just not at the end 😢

The only 2 others I can think of are the tnt box you need to phase in, and the 2 boxes nearby that are stacked on top of each other between 2 collapsing platforms. Either that, or the street shark blew up 1 nitro in the beginning instead of 2.

I checked it with your video and I can confirm that I got every single box in this level but at the end I missed just one. I don't know, it's not the first time that it happens to me, it has happened to me in other levels where I just did the same level twice doing the same and got the gem after the second try.... maybe the game is glitchy in that regard?

This game definitely has weirdness when it comes to box counts. I think the problem is caused by enemies setting boxes off on their own, with their projectiles. I've had a couple levels where I get to a checkpoint with a certain amount of boxes, then on another attempt, I get to the same checkpoint with 1 or 2 boxes less. I really wish I had a solid answer for you, telling you "oh it's this box that's easily forgotten", but I don't, and I'm sorry for that. Without a map of the level w/ all the boxes, I wouldn't be able to give a good answer :(

There is no way of getting through this in one go with out dying at least a dozen times. Not sure how some are doing it but it has to be something I do not know about. The level is just to long to restart every time and not worth the time or trouble.

My biggest suggestion that I can give you for any level in this game is just patience. It's a very difficult game, but any time I tried rushing through a section, I got hit or died.

@Easton Von Schist: I think TFB were sadists to code that into the game, not even Naughty Dog were that cruel, we only had to not die for Coloured Gem levels and Death Route platforms [ or up to that point ], not the entire game. 😤
