Ripcracker probably surprised me the most and I think I remember that I used it as a cheap alternative on my Fury druid back in the day before runewords. Other than that Grandfather is still one of the coolest weapons out there even though I've never gotten my hands on one myself.

If you want you WW Barb to wreck even on players 8, you have to have Crushing Blow, Open Wounds, and Critical/Deadly strike. G face is way better than arreats. Also Durress armor helps a lot. Also WW Barb is not a lazy Max life build. You need very high attack rating to hit and lots of strength for more damage. I usually run between 2000 and 2500 health.

i disagree on strenght , you only need whats required to wear the gear, you need max block and highest chance to hit possible as ignore target defence does not work on bosses. if you add strenght you will end up having less health then a sorc with bo

@@attractivegd9531 I am referring to Softcore. And yes if you want to Hork no cold damage is optimal. Fortitude is probably best in slot, I'm just trying to make the point that Crushing Blow, Open Wounds , and Critical/Deadly strike are very important. Also I feel one handed weapons are much better due to the higher ias allowing them to proc more often, and that's also why dex is important so you land as often as possible.

The Grandfather Sword! Best looking weapon in the game imo. My friend had this on his barb back in the day, and I was so jealous of it. So Kewl Ribcracker and Grandfather looked like the best 2. I wonder how Dual Grandfather would do?

I don't think i played as much as I thought I did 20 years ago. I've found several grandfather's and doom bringers. Never seen that drop back when it was best in slot.

I personally never go max vita on a barbarian. Having 6k HP is just not necessary. Better spend those points on dex getting more AR.

I saw a video a year ago and I vaguely remember they said something about the weapons range affecting WW. If I remember correctly shorter range is better for single target.

If you ever edit this I feel you should show the character stats and dps etc when you show the equipped gear before using it. Also maybe do some chaos and baal runs for a good image of how effective they are against souls and baal minions etc. Nice content Phil

Polearms are worse for ww because they have such high attack range that you wind up spreading the damage around. The thunder maul and ribcracker have low range so you most likely hit the enemies you actually ww over. The grandfather is the best because 2h swords only the only 2handers that can reach 4 frames now. A death colossus sword is probably the best 2h ww wep

I was reading to see if someone wrote about the range, which is huge and he kinda ignored. Also dual wielding has more hits per second. I really enjoy death as well, but fleshripper is a great unique

@@rupp88 i tested a death cs after this vid. With metamorph/beast switch buff you can easily reach 4 frames and you one shot most stuff up to p3. Any higher and you really need the multi hits from dual wielded weapons because enemies start scaling their hp too high. Grief/azurewrath best for all around clears imo. Having sanctuary aura is great to strip undeads of their phys res. Then the azurewrath's cold and magic damage goes through the balrogs' weakest resistances. Metamorph/beast swap is expensive but it absolutely is bis for barbs now since the Deadly strike on gface is not necessary. Metamorph gives 20% DR 25% skill ias (so like running beast fanaticism off ur helm), cannot be frozen and some str and res. The damn thing is better for everyone else than shaper lols. It's stupid but this is what happens when you nerf hustle.

Never sleep on the Ribcracker! :) And damn, do I miss the days when Uniques were more viable than today. This is how everyone test their setup but it's not very consistent. Renewing the game will give super mobs different stats and buffs, and will give incomparable results. You should really should take the extra hassle and test them on bosses like Diablo or Baal. Then you won't have to deal with mobs moving around either

G face is THE best helm for barbarian, the 35% cb and 15% deadly strike adds so much damage, even on a HC character its just the best in slot imo

after the patch that "fixed" WW/druid, there is no 2 handers worth using with Whirlwind. getting to the fastest breakpoint is almost impossible and never even close to worth it.

I would love to see Blizzard buff / rework most elite uniques that are currently not used but super rare. It would allow for better late game chase than « farm runes and bases » Also, make WW great again by letting it hit every frame as D2C or allow procs maybe?

you need a total of 80% IAS on 2-handers that have [20] weapon speed (thunder mauls, warpikes, etc.)

You've completely missed the point of some of these weapons. I suggest you look up a channel Kruggers13 and his zeal + cranium basher vid. Barb with WW isn't really the best way to get the most out of these items. Going back to the Cranium Basher, WW can't proc the amp damage. huge miss. Test it with a 2H Zeal/Fanaticism Pally. It destroys lower level Trav. or WSK, or Chaos. Executioner's Justice is godly on a Fury Druid. You completely missed the point of having -target defense on that item b/c IGT doens't work on elites or bosses. Again lower player counts but these items are cool and work very well. You just didn't test them correctly.

Why not use a grief 2h weapon to showcase the difference vs a single grief? Don't a lot of the trav runners use grief + 6ist pb or something? maybe I'm mistaken just kinda curious.

Because there's no reason to use one grief instead of two. No ED, only +max.

awesome video you do great content but i think saying *They work reasonably * as long as you have all these perfectly rolled scs lol PHILL you should take a look at unique item builds with out a full bis inventory to show new players how the unique items really stack up to rune words. even if you play online and use jsp or something else to do some trades attaining that type of inventory is a very steep base line for a build. why not try stuff that a new player or a season character can attain fairy easily with NO inventory like ww barb that uses a thresher insight or a non eth cv insight and hustle armor things like that they are by no means bis but realistic in terms of what you can get on a new character or for a new player you know. getting max rolled godly 0.01% drop rate uniques with bis inventory full of charms doesnt really show case those items properly since if you did have that bis inventory why would you be using alternative elite unique items ?
