I think you should have kept the ultimate punishment from Dante's Inferno, being trapped in ice. That seems like the ultimate punishment for the Ironborn, the ice trapping them from ever touching the sea again, let alone sinking into the drowned god's watery halls. Ice can only float and will never sink. This would tie well into Aeron's trauma. There's four primary trauma responses (4 F's) and the one that fits Aeron the most is arguably Freeze, with the second most applicable being Flight. Alternatively, some hell involving flight would provide a parallel to Bran, who through his traumas, learned to fly.

It would be interesting if in one of the watery hells the saltwater is a part of their suffering. The salt can both dehydrate and preserve them. Forcing them to suffer maddening thirst for all eternity.

Just a thought: isn’t the final level of hell in Dante’s Inferno for Traitor’s and people who have taken their own lives? I guess cowards work too, but I think it would be cool to do a direct parallel to Dante. You could have Aeron’s worst fear/ hell realized: Aeron (traitor and coward) trapped for an eternity with Euron (definitely a traitor and coward) in the final level of hell. Just a thought; if you like it use it.🤪

The final (ninth) circle of Dante's Hell is for treachery. Most notably, Satan is trapped there in ice with the upper parts of his body sticking out. Every time Satan flaps his wings to try to escape, it creates icy winds that makes the ice colder and his suffering worse. Satan has three heads, a perversion of the holy trinity, and in each of his mouths he is chewing on a famous traitor while skinning their backs with his claws. These traitors are Judas Iscariot, Brutus, and Cassius; the most famous traitors in history. Dante explains that there's three types of sin: Sin against others, sin against the self, and sin against God. Satan is in that pit because he has sinned against others, himself, and God with his treason. Suicide is in the 7th circle, they committed the sin of violence against the self.

This sounds amazing! I have a feeling that this will outdo what George has in mind. I do have to wonder, would Euron really sacrifice his silence knowing that it would be destroyed by Krakens? I always had the feeling that the priests were tied to the ships to ward off the Krakens so they go straight for the unprotected ships. This was just my opinion though. I have no idea what you have planned though

@@Radiotomb Euron isn’t a POV character. But Euron is clearly an endgame villain or close to endgame villain. He can’t die in this battle. Unless he is resurrected as some half-man/half-squid abomination from the sea. Like a Davey Jones from Pirates of the Caribbean 2-3. He has to sack Oldtown and take the citadel over as well. I see him and Cersei meeting up once she flees to Casterly Rock when Aegon takes over King’s Landing.

So you're going with no magic with Euron given he summons krakens with pig blood? Not sure I agree. I like a magical aspect to the southern Westeros story, and Euron's the obvious choice. Maybe at least he sacrifices the pigs and does an ancient ritual he found on his travels to summon krakens? I don't think he's a *total* fraud as there's some truth to him and his background, but I like at least some magical dark pirate. Especially after Aeron was in awe at the Valyrian steel armour. I'd go with that being the least that Euron brought back, that's the twist. The armour is nothing compared to what else he found. Aeron thought there's nothing more fantastical than Valyrian armour and then Euron one ups it. Parallels well with Victarion who has Moqorro and gave him his volcano hand. And of course we can't forget that Asha and Theon are with Stannis and there's seemingly something magical coming there.
