Gotta love Mitch's Demos. They really are the best. Lots of individual demos put 14 effects in a chain and set everyting on 11 and BLAST away. Thanks for doing this the right way Mitch. Big Ron
@sweetwater14 жыл бұрын
@stsgabe The guitars are plugged right in. You're seeing the TU-3 tuner that Mitch uses to tune up in between playing each instrument. It's not plugged into when he's playing the amp.

I have had mine for about a week and it really is an amazing amp. I will put up a demo of it on my chann soon. You will not be disappointed by this amp!
@BlootusWealth11 жыл бұрын
He never stopped playing a tele even though he had his LP. Tele was famously used through a little 5 watt amp on since I've been loving you (ZepIII) and the stairway(ZepIV) solo was recorded on a tele.

Man oh man, this lil amp sounds sweet, and you can most definitively play that guitar! Thanks for the video, need to order one of this...

because the tele has the highway1 pickups which are kind of darker sounding... and the strat has texas special(very bright pickups)

I’ve heard you haft to turn the bass all the way down or it will sound to muddy
@SixStringHarmonies12 жыл бұрын
@Phishboy26 This is the way vintage amps were made, and power amp tube saturation is why. you can only get it from cranking the output volume or master. Preamp gain is nice, but it can not compare to those massive power tubes running full bore. pre gain and power gain are two different beasts entirely. try it yourself and watch how much more sustain a power amp can lend
@nathk12314 жыл бұрын
@MiNiCheMa You can still get the distortion, you just need to have headphones, that or you can turn the volume on your guitar down.

Just bought this amp, it isn't great, it's awesome!
@mrwolfsang14 жыл бұрын
Great Demo, however you really should have used Gibson Les Paul. Strat and Tele sounds good through this amp, but the Epiphone is just not cutting it.
@Phishboy2613 жыл бұрын
@seifs4 I know but why would you want a tube amp without preamp volume control? If i want to crank a tube amp i need a 2 channel amp or a single channel amp with Volume, EQ,and preamp volume control. The Fender Supersonic 22 is where its at.
@stsgabe14 жыл бұрын
so this is a straight ahead demo but there is a pedal in between?

@SweetwaterMitch my marshall 4x12 has 4, and i think almost all 4x12s with celestions n eminence are 4ohms, not quite sure tho

When dialing the vol right at noon at 2:15, the amp already sounds like it's got an overdrive pedal like a TS9 or something. I figure it's not a great amp if I need a "clean" tone at a fairly high volume level...? Because I already have a distortion pedal that I like. Any inputs?
@jeffreyhartmann149 жыл бұрын
Hey man it sounds like an awesome amp but can you buy a foot controller or switch or use any pedals I'm new to guitar lol I have a 06 studio deluxe Gibson les Paul and getting a 85 Gibson sg and I like to tune my guitar with foot pedals or foot controller so let me know thank you I'm gonna be using it to gig out of course just vfw and shit should be plenty of power plus it's tube
@vela7513 жыл бұрын
How loud can you play clean, before it starts to break up?
@thricex0513 жыл бұрын
@dania7x555 this isn't the amp to buy if you want clean at high volumes. the higher the wattage of the amp, the more clean headroom you'll have. i would look into old bass heads that are commonly used for guitar nowadays. i highly recommend the fender bassman 100. super clean all the way to 10.

Actually actually whole lotta love was played on a tele through a vox
@murfdog1911 жыл бұрын
Yes, he did use the Tele throughout Zeppelin. Whole Lotta Love was definitely played on the Les Paul, using the middle pickup position.

@Ukabumba14 жыл бұрын
is it loud enough to go up against drums?
@TheStrataminor12 жыл бұрын
This amp is just pure tube and the tone and technique come from the player. I think a lot of guitarists, esp ones with less experience use gadgets, effects and heaps of controls to get tone. Straight into a tube amp, with maybe just a OD and delay is plenty!!
@UrbanZo14 жыл бұрын
@Ukabumba It's easily heard over the drummer (especialy when cranked)
@IronBroadsword12 жыл бұрын
Ahh, gotta love the class 5.
@murfdog1911 жыл бұрын
Actually, Whole Lotta Love was played with a Les Paul. Page used a Tele on Zeppelin I, but already had the Les Paul by Zeppelin II.

@JPEGjon lol thats what tele's were made for straight up tube. listen to a tele through vox ac30 great crunch!
@Phishboy2612 жыл бұрын
@SixStringHarmonies I have and i didnt like it. If i want to roll back my guitar volume to clean up a dirty amp ill just use a 2 channel amp with one channel being dirty. Interesting trick is to use a tube amp like this Class 5 as a makeshift overdrive pedal in a signal chain instead of it being used as an amp. Thats the only way id use a non master volume amp.

hi everyone is there to much difference between the CLEAN SOUND of this amp n' the MG30CFX's clean sound?? I'm just into the clean sound, I'll appreciatt anyone's reply t-you bye =)
@MrBingping9 жыл бұрын
I prefer the clean sound of the class 5, but it has VERY little headroom meaning it cannot get loud with a clean tone. It's really made to be cranked up loud
@MrBingping9 жыл бұрын
If you really want clean tone a fender blues jr would be a better option or if you're set on marshall maybe one of the DSL series. This is really more of a one trick pony. Does that one trick well but still

@seifs4 I dont like Vox or Marshall combo amps at all. To me if you go with a Marshall go with a Vintage Head. Nothing modern beats the sound of a JCM800. I have played through a Blackstar HT-5R and it sounded great for Studio recording or for Practicing backstage before a gig but thats it. Same with the Blackstar Studio HT20. For those American sounds its hard to beat a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe or a Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue. Check out Ebay for used amps.
