Though a bit underwhelmed and frankly irritated at 1st with growling at the end of notes, after a bit of experimentation with the octave divisions and 3-way mixing I've come to really love my Data Corrupter; one trick is to put different pedals in front of it which can change the character and behavior in ways I wouldn't have thought possible. -It's FAR more than just a noise generator for spastics; you just have to put some time and love into it and it delivers in spades.

@robertfoster80254 жыл бұрын
I love the Grand Orbiter, but the Interstellar Orbiter seems so much more able to fine tune things I guess it's because its two filters in one pedal. I'm torn. Convince me I want the Grand Orbiter over the Interstellar Orbiter...
@spieglass32114 жыл бұрын
@@robertfoster8025 That's one of the few EQD pedals I haven't played. But I love the Grand Orbiter because it sounds so good. The feature set is nice for a phaser though: fast mode, slow mode, and LFO kill mode so you can stop the LFO from moving and have a filtered tone, and set the filter where you want it. Then there's a vibrato switch. So there's a lot to mess with. But just listen to it in this video. Unless you're trying to get super wacky, that's the one. And honestly, EQD's demo video of it is what sold me on it. Listen to that.

Throw an Afterneath in front of another ambient style design such as the Polymoon and watch your guitar immediately begin churning out b-side OK Computer riffs. Get one and channel your inner Death Grips. Thank you for reading my comment.

The Hummingbird is just like the Repeat Percussion on organs. My add-on Conn key-perc/ repeat perc I put on my Conn Classic 815 from 1958, it actually uses a physical mechanical relay suspended on soft rubber grommets. My '64-68 Wurlitzer 4500 and 4300 organs use an opto-isolator for perc/ repeat percussion not unlike the bulb and photocell in a plastic tube like on Fender amps.

I have the Data Corrupter, and mine never sounds like any demo of it I ever see on KZbin. When played here, there were defined notes. Mine is good for special effects only. Just a blast of pitchless generic computer/"synth" noise. Changing the settings changes the sound by I guess about 5% at most. And it's silly that there's no dry/wet mix. The synths included on my Line 6 bean are much more interesting and usable. Love the other EDs pedals I own, however.

17:00 wait, can someone explain to me?? How come these things aren’t patented? How come all these circuits aren’t patented, ie TubeScreamer, Rat, etc etc? Why is it legal for pedal companies to straight up copy circuits from other folks? I mean, the Klon is famous, and everyone from Wampler to Wish has an exact circuit copy. How come that doesn’t create copyright issues? And does this mean that I can just copy JHS or EQD circuits and sell them as my own pedals? That seems like such an issue to me
