Phil's comment about boosting levels for a pick slide... that is exactly why my boost of choice is a TC Spark Mini. You can click the footswitch like normal and play an entire solo... or... if you need a quick fill, HOLD the button down, play the lick, and when you release the button, the boost switches back off. Dual function button! I also replaced the little knob up top with a massive black knob that I can dial up and down with my foot.

Yeah the spark mini is my solo boost pedal too. I have mine in the loop so it just increases the volume when I need without adding any more compression or gain to the front end.

@@emdblues you’re right, he typically plays guitars with a single pickup, though as this guitar has a bridge and neck, he’s likely (I’m guessing) moved the toggle so he can still toggle between them should he feel inclined, while cutting down the chance of accidentally flicking the toggle while playing, flailing about like a madman. 😊
