This is what Bryce meant about the new version being too dangerous to exist. Sarah and Casey have trained their entire adult lives to be what they are. Years of hard work and training, constant effort make them deadly dangerous in combat. Now imagine that somebody with a fully embodied Intersect system can take a hundred doofusses off the street with no training or experience, upload an Intersect, and you have 100 people who had badder-ass than Sarah or Casey...at the push of a button. If it wasn't for the nasty side effects in most people, whoever controlled the Intersect would control the world.

Not only does he use the obvious Matrix line at the end, but I could swear around when he does that first backflip the music is very similar to some of the Matix score. In particular, the scene at the end of Reloaded where the Nebuchadnezzar is destroyed and the sentinels are coming, right before Neo fries them in the real world. Very appropriate since they are both "hero gets dramatic upgrade to powers which saves them when all looks lost" surprise endings :)

I think the biggest unrealistic point in this is that while Chuck would mentally know how to do these things, physically his body is still just nerdy chuck. his mind got the intersect but his muscles didn't recieve an upgrade so he would have pulled something and had muscle fatigue or just not been able to do certain moves because he doesn't have the muscles

It had the potential to be a classic, especially at the time this episode aired. But it went off the rails in season 3. I still watched every episode faithfully and still loved it to the end, but I really think the threat of cancellation each year made the writers antsy so they pushed the story towards resolution each season and really killed the original spirit of the show. But surely, in 2009 Chuck was awesomely epic.

3&4 were great seasons people were just mad at the episodes leading to what was originally supposed to be the season finale with him shooting Shaw. NBC has so many cancellations they gave them something like 5 more episodes mid season. 4 is a good season that feels like it drags a bit still very enjoyable. 5 is where I have the big problem mainly with the fact this show was built off of Chuck and Sarah. What they do makes no sense even less so that they end the show before it’s completely fixed. Cmon reboot. How are they going to explain that Chuck is now as buff as Superman.

I really enjoyed this show but this was so unrealistic. Yes he could get the skill downloaded. But his body would have pulled ever muscle he had to do what he did. Adrenaline would have helped cover the pain. But a muscle relaxers would have been in his future.

Up to this point I could actually suspend my disbelief and enjoy the show. When he became good at martial arts(good enough to take on multiple well trained fighters at the same time), with that scrawny body of his I called BULLSHIT! your brain might know all the fucking moves but you have no muscles to pull those off with, you haven't stretched for those high kicks, have no muscle memory that develops over years of training to block an attack in a split-second etc. utterly banal and idiotic move for the show from logic perspective, made loads of sense since most people are idiots and will just go "fuaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwww, that's soooooooo cooooooool."
