I love when you shell Keewaydin! That fossil was cool--kind of looked like a giant kitten's paw, especially when you discovered it had both its pieces! Beautiful true tulip, too. But the murex, the moon snails, the cones....I am admiring all of them as if I am there! Great shelling!

Hello, my Beach Angel! How happy the sound of your voice makes me! I have been looking forward to this video all week. Let's go to the beach! Call me weird, but I really like jingles! They are so many pretty colors! Hey, that's the best Alphabet Cone I've seen in a good while. Good spotting. Another beautiful Alphabet Cone to go with the first one. Cool! Oh, I love those big white scallops! And another gorgeous Alphabet Cone! It's your day for those, girl! That is an amazing fossil! It looks like a Lion's Paw! How wonderful! Okay, that True Tulip is the best shell of the day, hands down! Congratulations! I, too, am enamored with the Colorful Moon Snails. They are so lovely. The Creator must have smiled when He was making those. Keewaydin Island is so beautiful! I may never get there but I enjoy tagging along with you, Beach Angel. Thanks for allowing me to join you! You did make a great haul today, didn't you? I'm so happy for you, darling. Much love to you and all my fellow would-be beach bums from here in the colorful mountains of East Tennessee. I Love your quote about the "crazy quilts"! I'm a quilter, and I sooo Love the fall colors. I live in Sacramento, CA; we are a city of many, many trees. Fall is beautiful here. And, if that's not enough, we have the Foothills and the CA Nevada Sierra Mountain Range; tons of Fall Color. 😊

I am finally feeling the chill in the air and I've already had a few chilly mornings. It's about the time of year that I dread the cold, but I anticipate how amazing the beaches are going to be. The cold winds help get those shells onto the beach so I get to win either way. If it' warmer - yay! If it's cooler - more shells and yay again! I'm such a lucky gal! ❤️❤️❤️

Question here...How long (approximately) does it take for the "garbage glass" to turn into collectable "sea glass"?
@SWFBeachLife Жыл бұрын
I do not know the answer to that, but I would think quite a while. The glass would need to tumble enough to get all the bits and pieces round and frosted. There is a beach in California that is completely made of sea glass! traveladvo.com/sea-glass-beach-california-everything-you-need-to-know/

@SWFBeachLife Жыл бұрын
If I had shells with hot glue on them I would probably try to pick as much off as I could and then maybe try to soften the glue with a hair dryer and continue to remove the glue. OR, I would reuse them on a craft that I wanted to make, hiding the glue when I reused the shell. Good luck to you!

I love your vids, keep it up! Just wondering, how do you know a shell is a albino and not just bleached out by sun until fully white? 😊
@SWFBeachLife Жыл бұрын
The sun-bleached shells would have had to be on the beach for a very long time. The shells would get smoother and won't have its fine ridges and lines. For me I just know at this point because I've picked up so many shells. The albino white color is whiter than the sun bleached white shells.
