SWFL Eagles ~ E16 FLEDGES At 89 Days Old!! Takes A Bath & Joins E15 At The Pond! 💕💕 7.1.20

While the cams were down, E16 took that leap of faith and fledged this morning to the cam2 tree at 9:18 AM EST. Congratulations E16!! We are so proud of you and wish that we had seen you take off! E16 will join E15 at the pond and will take his first bath! They both are in the water and are enjoying themselves! I bet E16 is so happy to be off the nest and having that first taste of freedom to explore now! Both E's will go up the bank and on the grass and hang up for some time (E15 is on the left and E16 on the right). E16 is 89 days old today! Thank you for watching!

Two more great E16 achievements that made my heart jump with joy inside me. The first flight away from home and the first bath in the lake, accompanied by his beloved E15, our adventurer who helped open the door to the best achievements of E16. This happy bath is a milestone in the freedom of E16 to fly and explore the world. It was a happy bath for freedom! I'm very happy for the children of my glorious Harriet, especially for my beloved E16. May he conquer his freedom even more and be very happy! Congrats E16! My goodness, that face! So adorable! Just couldn’t let your big sis have all the fun! We knew he would fledge, but this little one does things in his own time. Just barely out if his shell, he was demanding to be fed. E15, along with his amazing parents, also had a hand (talon) in showing E16 how things are done. Great job, E16 and you too, Lady Hawk. Awww, it warms my heart to see both E's hanging together and having fun splashing around in the pond. With E16 fledging, we have come full circle. What many thought was impossible was not, and despite the tragic loss of E14, the 2019-20 nesting season is winding up on a joyous note. Harriet and M15 are such wonderful and attentive parents and I always enjoy watching them teaching/interacting with their fledglings in that brief period before the kids go out into the world and get an apartment of their own.
