E16 finally decided “It’s time to fly on the first of July!! 🦅🦅 Well done 👏🏻👏🏻 So gratifying to see both 15 and E16 together. Their bond is so very strong, it bring tears of joy!! TYVM, LH, for the many wonderful moments and videos. Thank you as well, to the Pritchett family for their support. This will definitely be a season to remember, ......and never forget 😉

Oh I missed him fledging. I’m sure I’ll see him fly though. At least he enjoyed a bath for us to see. Our sweet babies will be gone soon but we will always remember them as Harriet and M’s miracle babies ❤️

Congrats E16! My goodness, that face! So adorable! Just couldn’t let your big sis have all the fun! We knew he would fledge, but this little one does things in his own time. Just barely out if his shell, he was demanding to be fed. E15, along with his amazing parents, also had a hand (talon) in showing E16 how things are done. Great job, E16 and you too, Lady Hawk. Two more great E16 achievements that made my heart jump with joy inside me. The first flight away from home and the first bath in the lake, accompanied by his beloved E15, our adventurer who helped open the door to the best achievements of E16. This happy bath is a milestone in the freedom of E16 to fly and explore the world. It was a happy bath for freedom! I'm very happy for the children of my glorious Harriet, especially for my beloved E16. May he conquer his freedom even more and be very happy! Awww, it warms my heart to see both E's hanging together and having fun splashing around in the pond. With E16 fledging, we have come full circle. What many thought was impossible was not, and despite the tragic loss of E14, the 2019-20 nesting season is winding up on a joyous note. Harriet and M15 are such wonderful and attentive parents and I always enjoy watching them teaching/interacting with their fledglings in that brief period before the kids go out into the world and get an apartment of their own.

Fantastic news Lady Hawk. I hope one of our photographers was able to get a video of the fledge. It is hilarious the first order of business was taking a bath...maybe E15 said “Bro, you stink, go deal with it,” LOL. I don’t recall any other of the eaglets here going to the pond so quickly, do you? Now the fun begins as E16 explores his surroundings. Stay safe out there you two and don’t leave just yet, many of us are not ready to say goodbye. Actually, given this clutch is later, do you think they might have the urge to leave more quickly?

Eagles usually have one clutch a year. Sometimes if the eggs break or don't hatch they will try again. The age E15 was when he passed, they should not have had another try this year, but they were determined. E17? That's for another year.
