SWFL Eagles ~ Magnificent M15 Finally Gets To Take A Bath In The Pond!! 🛀 💕 2.21.23

M15 has been working hard over the past three weeks since Harriet went missing and he has not had the luxury to even take a few minutes to go to the pasture pond to take a bath...until today!! 🛀 M15 finally gets to soak in the water and dunk and splash around and get himself clean once again! Harriet was always the cleanest eagle who loved to bathe in the pond frequently and then preen her 7,000 feathers to perfection. M15 would also take a bath and sometimes would join Harriet at the pond which was a real treat to see!! I am sure M15 is feeling so much better now that he was able to take a bath today. ♥ Thank you for watching!

I went back over my videos and found the last time that Harriet & M15 took a bath together in the pasture pond (on 10/31/22) and I wanted to share it with everyone. Little did we all know that this was probably the last time they would share the pond and bath together. These are the moments we loved to watch & now will cherish with our power couple enjoying themselves at the end of the day and splish splashing in the pond. Harriet is missed so much and loved worldwide she is forever in our hearts and prayers. May our memories keep her spirit alive and may good fortune bring E21 & E22 to fledging to live long healthy lives. Remembering how Harriet taught the very young M how to take a bath. I have pictures of the event. And here he is, taking a bath, soaking his tail feathers, just like in the picture. These 2 eaglets are the last legacy by Harriet so they are extra special. When they fledged that legacy will be leaving with them. M15 is doing such a great job and am rooting for him all the way Go M15. I've made peace with the fact that Harriet is in eagle heaven soaring high and forever looking down at M15 take your rest Harriet for you will be missed. M15 will finish what was started ❤️.

I've watched since E9. I sobbed when he soared up and away. My heart is broken over Harriet, too. The various skills & parenting this couple demonstrated are nothing short of phenomenal. God is evident like this in all creation.

Falling in love with nest cams and our eagle families is not for the faint of heart. My first loss was in the Decorah nest. I started watching Decorah during a traumatic time in my life after an assault, and I could only fall asleep with my laptop next to the bed tuned into the live nest cam listening to the nature soundtrack. It became my white noise that helped me sleep and block everything else out. I was devastated when the first eagle disappeared. It never gets easier, but their perseverance and grace is enchanting and inspires me in difficult times.

Ryan H I also remember 19 and 20 standing on that one log and also hip-hop in around on the grass chasing each other following each other. They were like two peas in a pot they stuck together didn’t they. I too hope that 21 and 22 Will enjoy that pond as much as they did along with their dad. He has always had his priorities in order, but especially now since our precious and much loved Harriet is not here. Keeping E21 & E22 fed and safe while securing their territory. He truly is doing a superb job!! I know all who love is precious eagle family will continue with prayers for their safety and that food is abundant. For the record: there are various YT videos around when fishermen accidentally drop some of their catch that a bald eagle then (rightfully) claims.
