I honestly think that little guy is just trying to get the eagle to play with him. It seemed like 22 was sort of smiling. Probably being reminded of the good old days when 21 and 22 used to go to the pond and splash about together. It's nice to see 22 make a new friend.

All due respect to the positive spin you present, um, imo, that's a HUMONGOUS stretch. 🤣It breaks my heart to see E22 flat out endlessly terrorized by the mockingbird. He just can't relax ANYWHERE on the property and myself, I hate it for E22.

That’s an amusing idea but the mockingbird likely has a nest nearby. The owls firstly, then the loggerhead shrikes were at them last month but their nestlings have fledged. This will keep up until E22 leaves or the mockingbird’s nestlings fledge. It’s just life in the pasture with all the various wildlife.🪶

Gosh… here with E22 we have a mocking bird, there we have Angel the Leucistic Red hawk being pestered by a blue jay, these little birds truly have nothing to do but attacking the bigger predators when they were not even targeting them for food…
