Your weekly posts allow me to visit this beautiful area of Italy every week. The area not too far from Dad’s hometown. Italy appears to be doing well after the lockdown. Unlike the surge of cases in the USA as we reopen. So nice to enjoy Capri in your “backyard” and not overwhelmed with hordes of tourists. Elizabeth’s two girls are so adorable! Skye and Nikola did a nice review on their afternoon. I so understand forgetting to take a picture of the food! Happened a few times on our last trip to Italy. Amazing to taste the Amalfi lemons with their sweeter taste.

Customs has a racket, for sure! It's such a perfect time for you to do all of the touristy things. I regret not doing the touristy things in places I've lived, it seems like they'll be there always, or that I would be. Not so, life changes so take advantage of your own back yard, so to speak. I would've loved the lemon tour. Of all vegetables I buy more lemons than any. I use lemon and olive oil on my salads, tomatoes. And mist vegetables

Hello from Montreal, Canada! I fell on your videos and love watching them. We are missing our trip to Italy this summer due to covid, so it is nice and a little bitter sweet to watch these. We are children of italian immigrants and always think of buying property in Italy. You make it look wonderful to live there! Italian life is so much more social and laid back than in North America. I made the road trip with a tour group seeing the Amalifi coast in 2014. I enjoyed the video. I was amazed seeing the Amalfi coast but the narrow drive along the coast in our tour bus clinging to the road on the cliff with cars seeming to come at you head on at times is too much of a thrill for me.

Omg really Nicki, living by the sea but not take a dip and here I am wishing to go on beach like for years now. I found out that warmer your body is the colder will be going into the pool just as in the sea. Its cold on first but when you are inside for a bit it becomes nice.

It is fun to be tourists in your own area. I had friends visit from Australia and I had a great time showing them around. Mind you, I don't live in such a spectacular area as you do. I love to see your daughters vlogs and that her boyfriend is doing such a great job speaking English.

I sometimes forget how beautiful my part of the world is. I drove my son to work in a restaurant early this morning to a tiny village with the ocean on one side and a river the other. It's Winter here so it was misty and green and very beautiful. You've made me think about being more present and enjoying where I am.

I too hate cold water...but I find getting in very slowly helps...feet first ..five mins the up to knees ...sitting on the edge until it doesn't feel cold...then half body gets in ...slowly slowly...once in I love it

We tried taking that lemon grove tour last year, but it was very rainy and slippery apparently so no tours were running.. :( Oh the joy and dream of being on Capri with so few tourists.. My first time seeing Skye in this new video adventure. How lovely. Che bellezza è, mani graziose e delicate. And good on video, too, with a very pleasant voice. I don't know who Nicola is, but he exudes charm and mystery, like so many Italian men. I love when handsome Italian men are shy about speaking English. This video was my first vicarious trip to Capri. I didn't want it to end. I would happily pay Nicki to be my tour guide. Most Americans would be shocked by the water temperatures of Italy's pools. I prefer colder water on hot days, but Italy's pools are way too cold for me. I don't know anyone in Italy with a heated pool. Not even the wealthy can afford the electricity. The Customs situation to send gifts is appallingly outrageous. But I suppose that could be easily abused. I love giving gifts to my Italian friends.

You need a solar cover for your pool. It heats the water with sun. Then you just push it back, jump in 80 degrees or more, depending on how long the cover was on.
