If I'm not mistaken this is where the missing turist was found,drowned. Although it's a very beautiful place it is very dangerous it is said every year someone drowns.

Saw a kid asleep sweat stuck to his fathers back at a 45 degree angle. Classic Sunday picnic. Land of enchantment. Great short backup walk if El Yunke is rained out.

I need to go back there, but it is much farther than 30 minutes. Driving from Humacao through Caguas to Patillas is over an hour. jentheredonethat.com/charco-azul/

@@JenThereDoneThat No; your taking the longest route. Either go thru Yabucoa up to rd 181 or take road 900 that connects you to rd #3 coasting passing Maunabo...I live there. Way shorter than going thru Caguas...Too Long...

Puerto Rico has a ton of Charcos (natural pools) and you should definitely visit at least one on your next trip!

Wow! That is one pretty charco. You are so lucky. Here in Vegas has not dropped less than 109 degrees in almost a month. We can sure use a charco like that here.

@@JenThereDoneThat The first big Music festival in the island was Marisol. Aprox 1972 Before that one, there was in the Area El Pozo de Jacinto , cannot recall the town. I remember very well B B KING waking us up at 6 o'clock in the morning. Estaba La Banda de Karajo. A good local band. Aprox 1969.

This a very beautiful place I used to go there back in the 90s, because it's very close to Fajardo PR the town I was born. Thanks for posting it brings a lot of memories. WOW.... I MISS this CHARCO! you just got HOME SICK! 😢😢 we pronounce it Heepee! In my days i remember that house on the hill! and no steps! it looks like the rocks has grown. This Charco is not far from my wife family location .

Have they lifted curfew? Was there much damage from hurricane laura? Seem I wont get to visit anytime soon😤

We are still under the 10 pm curfew, no alcohol sales after 7 PM (Everything shut down and no alcohol at all on Sundays) until at least September 11. So most of my activities are early morning, and I eat out for lunch more than dinner. Laura was just rain, no damage.
