This is not a regular swimming lesson video, but this is exactly what is actually needed. This is food for thought, and just makes us think outside the box. With tons of videos out there it can be confusing and frustrating if you keep trying new thing after watching a new video everyday. You need to find your own device. Thanks for all your hard work behind these videos.

Hello! I’m a junior I’m Highschool right now and I just started doing swimming about three weeks ago. I hit the gym often and have been doing sports my entire life so I think I have a far shot at becoming a decent swimmer. What are your tips to become better? I’ve been watching these videos nonstop but has anything else worked for you?
@endo99135 жыл бұрын
I started swimming regularly and taking lessons for the first time almost exactly a year ago and I’ve really become addicted. Your videos have been really helpful in improving and fuelling my addiction! I’ve looked at a lot of KZbin and for me it’s the best content out there. I’m excited about the new videos to come. It would be great if you could run a swim camp in Europe some day (soon).

I have never watched such a professinally video on swimming - so precisely describing the movements in water - as well as a psychologically intelligent way of communicating with the listener and viewer. «On the top of this» there is a brilliant sense of humour represented in your video! As a psychotherapist and an eager «swimming student» I am very curious to participate in your camps

Thanks for all the great videos! I've improved in the few years I've been watching along with swimming with a master's team and my biggest gain was how fast I got when I lost 40lbs. 💪 It's awesome not dragging that much weight around the pool. Interesting how it's affected my buoyancy. Keep up the great work! 😘

I don't even subscribe to my own channel..... Might make an exception here. I do recommend your channel to swimmers who are trying to improve. Your approach to teaching, and your sense of humor make it very entertaining.... Interesting how your swim camps changed your view on teaching/coaching/mentoring. I think it is for the better. Using your tips on the hypoxic training adding some weights and more work with paddles has helped me take about 4 seconds off my 50 yard side stroke time.... Want to take another 5 to maybe 10 seconds off. Currently at about 41 seconds, which I time at the end of the work out, not when I am fresh.....

This is why I love your videos so much. They are so informative and encouraging. These days I love practicing to swim but I always swim alone. Your vids are likw having a friendly and knowlegeable coach buddy beside me. Thanks for all your work. Btw, you made me want to learn to shuffle too. lol

Having body awareness is not common. Most people don’t notice they walk lopsided, hunching back, or shuffling. Small wonder they have a hard time being horizontal in the water. Having a coach and being filmed would greatly benefit those who want to improve swimming. I learned by myself from watching youtube videos. I find it stimulating to mentally scanning my strokes and form during and after each lap. I count strokes and breathing. I practice peace and calmness while in the water, not fighting it.

So you decided to shift from a daily dose of swimming to a monthly one aiming for better quality/thoughts. Hmmmmm, let's see the difference, then judge the results. The video above is a good start. The idea of not depending on coaches is really a good point that I reached by experience, but you emphasized it to me.
