Good to know! I'm going to try swimming with no belt. Until now I wasn't sure, and also didn't know if there was a waterproof or quick drying belt available.

I made a video on just this exact subject last week. As you say my inguinal hernia would pop in under water. I believe this to be as you said, pressure outside & also intestine contains more air so rises up into abdominal cavity when submerged.

I had a hernia (confirmed by a doctor) when I was in my thirties. I got into swimming about a mile two or three times a week for around a year. Sometime during that period, my hernia completely disappeared and I no longer had the bulge or symptoms after I quit swimming. I believe it was the kicking and body rotation while in the horizonal swimming position that helped me.

That makes complete sense, especially if the hernia was not popping out on you while doing it. 👍

Hi there, I recently had my first inguenal hernia 7mm at 29 years old. I was a competitive swimmer through high school so I wanted to try swimming to see if it helps. How large was your hernia if I may ask?

Hernia stays in while in water and this is really nice. I have umbilical hernia and as soon as my belly goes in water I have no problem. I got my hernia bigger after extensively running for few months without any belt. I knew I had hernia but it didn't grow so I was confident I can do whatever I want. Lesson learnt, wearing belt now, scheduled surgery in 2 months and we will see how it goes when I will swim daily. I love swimming and I believe it will even help me to be fit till the surgery time as I do not run anymore, no lifting at all, even small packages etc.

Hey George, just bought your hernia truss. Got an inguinal hernia slightly more than a week ago and at times it doesnt bulge out for 8 to 10 hours, and at times I cant get it to stay in at all. Any tips on how to make sure that it doesnt slip out that easily?
@MyNaturalHerniaCure Жыл бұрын
Yes I have a video about it hat you can see here: The Five Best Ways to Manage an Inguinal Hernia Without Surgery kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z5vQYpSkgdVsfas Right off the bat, I’d say your diet is probably the most important thing to check since it has the fastest effect on the hernia. Make sure your not eating foods that cause gas, bloating, or constipation.

@@MyNaturalHerniaCure Are there days that it just doesnt stay in at all? Like, just the day before, I was in for more than half a day, but today it just pops out in 5-10mins and its quite demoralizing. Is it a symptom of overworking your abdominal muscles?
@MyNaturalHerniaCure Жыл бұрын
@@Joshuasee89 yes, definitely! When I was going through the process I would go for months with nothing, then all the sudden it would pop out. I had to change my mindset to view the setbacks as learning opportunities and use them to figure out what changes need to be made to better my condition. I talk about it in this video: The Up and Down Battle With an Inguinal Hernia kzbin.info/www/bejne/boCzi6SKj7OohKs

Doing good! No symptoms, so I basically live my life as if I dont have a hernia. I only wear the belt now when riding motocross just in case.
