My Coleman spa was giving me a DRY and FLO error. This occurred because the low speed on Pump 1 was not working. I replaced the pump and all is fine now. I’d like to figure out why low speed didn’t work but high speed did. Replacing the capacitors didn’t solve the problem. Thanks for the vids!

Ok so I have an issue with my hot tub if you could help. The flow switch isn’t working so I have ordered a new sensor but for the moment overriding the flow switch. The pump jets work and the jacuzzi says heat. Temp shows 72degrees trying to get to 85. Pumps run for a little while but water is very slow to heat but then all shuts off and I get the OH (overheating) error code. What could I look at next? Temp sensor? Circulation pump? Heating element?

Hey there, just watch your video. I just purchase a used spa jacuzzi J-355, 2007 and hoping you can help me with my problem. The spa have 2 jets. Jets 1 works fine but jets 2 witch is for the big jets and the heat is supposed just like jet 1 to last for 20 minutes. But after the first 20 minute when it stop, when you make it start for another 20 minutes after 5 minutes the jets 2 stop and we can't make it start again by pushing the button. After 5 minutes of not working, it's start back by itself? What can it be? Is it a programmation problem or is the pump overheating? Hope you can help me. Thank you.

i have a diamond back by spa builders about 2006. both pumps working along with blower but after opening all valves both lounges have no jets working yet when I turn on pumps low and high they work part of the sides where seats are located . any ideas what to check. the model LX-15A with 2500 digital control all buttons seem to work. another question: light not working but light on panel comes on...can bulbs be changed from inside panels??? where can I get a PDF download for this unit? So my GFCI trips from the 20 amp the 30 amp for the heater is off. I unhooked everything possible both jets the circ pump the ozonator even the control wires and the light and the gfci still trips but not if the 20 amp breaker is off. Any clues or do I just need to break out the multimeter and go fishing?

gfci tripped the other day, flipped it back on. lights work, heater light comes on. switch for pump clicks but no pump. tried water hose in filter hole, thought we had air lock. also opened little valve on the pump, water came out, still no flow. need to figure it out fast! 19 degree days coming by weekend!! l have a Rimini spa bad or hotub , that is about 8 years old. I am in Sweden, We noticed a while ago that it did not seem to have full power, when pushed on full power, the flow was weak, everywhere. We also said to ourselves, that we think that we had 2 power settings, you pushed it in and got like 50% bubbles and then pushed it in again for full bubbles. But we only seemed to have one setting now full and off only. I know the pump is 2 speed, says on it. So I took the pump out and took it apart, noticed that the impellor was half missing, all broken, So I thought great was impellor, ordered a new impellor and seals, just the same, pushed the jet button on, which again only full mode, hardly any flow. could not believe that this was not the problem. And then after testing it for a good few times, the jet button refused to go on to full bubbles, I am thinking that this is some safety cut-off switch inbuilt. I thought for a while that possibly the pump smelled like it was burning just a little. I have taken out all the jets, emptied the water, blasted a hose through all of them, thinking that if 50% of the impellor is disintegrated, then bits must be stuck somewhere. Some small bits have come out. very small though. I am wondering if I need to buy a new pump, Just hope it's not the motherboard or control panel. Because the pump has not 2 speeds working, or something is definitely not right. What's your opinion. Is there something else I need to check? I am cracking up, not finding the problem, Could it be the capacitor? I am hoping a new pump will solve the issue. Appreciate your opinion thanks.

So confused!! I have a lazer plus spa and having problems with the heating. It comes on every 12 hours and runs but having problems with the temp. It is set on 95 but stays around 92. When it runs it cycle it has jumped as high as 100 and then goes back to 92. When I raise the temp control it will not come on by itself, I have to push the jets button and it will come on. Last week I had it set at 104 and when I went to get in it was 105, got in and the temp dropped to 98 in about 1 hour time. Do you have any clue what the problem might be?

My Sundance Chelsee 780 Jet #2 just stopped working abruptly. If I press the button I hear a distinct click, but nothing turns on. Jet 1 and everything else seems to work fine. Any suggestions? Additional info: under normal operation, if i turn on both jets to max speed, the heater turns off. The funny thing is that the heater still turns off when i activate both jets to max, even tho only Jet 1 is working.

was it the pump capacitor or the board? the click was the pump relay.

@@RunningInSuits check fuse (not sure if that spa pack as any). Also check to see if the spa pack motherboard as any burnt marks or smells burnt. Test the pumps capacitor. Or, find out the relay that's clicking and tap on it ( you need 2 people for that one). One person to tap it and the other keeps pushing the pump button. First fuse, then capacitor test, after that it might be the motherboard.

My hot tub is 14 years old and never had one problem with it. It appears all is working but I can't keep the hot tub clean for some reason. I drain, fill up, check levels to ensure they are correct levels and replace filters (several times) and within a week the water smells and is slimy. any recommendations before I hire a professional to come out?

Thanks for your videos. They are helpful. I got a lot of scale on my hot tub and most of it has come off using white vinegar. There is one area which is really thick and wondering if there are options which might help to dissolve the scale. Thank you, CM.

white scale will be more common in areas with 'hard water' (e.g. lots of minerals in the water), this includes large parts of Texas, Fla and Arizona

I have the same exact spa and I believe the other suction fitting is for the option to add another pump and tie it into your existing return line for stronger jet flow. That's my guess but I'm having a problem with my spa every time the spa gets up to temperature or we're done using it and we turn it off or it shuts off on its own and FL displays on the spa side controller and you can't turn the spa back on until you unplug it and plug it back in then you have to sit there and repeatedly hit the Jets button until it comes back on any ideas is it because I don't have it ran straight to the breaker box?

Sanding can be causing that popping cause it wont tighten down properly if it isn't round sanded properly.

Extremely weird.... I inherited my jacuzzi j355 when I purchased my house, I turned it on and the errors change filter, cool and flo were on the screen. christopher trigo Same thing happened to me. Was worried about all sorts of serious problems. We checked the water flow. Noticed that the water flow was very low through the filtration system. The bubbles were working just fine. Took the filters out and it stopped turning off. It turns out, though the filters didn't look so dirty, deep inside the filter folds, there was chemical buildup. Changing the filters often solved this problem.

I have a brand new intex octagon 79x79x29 and I tried to use the sanitation button for the first time, but it beeps and shows error code E91.. The book says that it's an alarm code (for low salt level) but we are not using salt water..freshwater.. so how can I sanitize and get past the Error code and beeping? It's only 4 days since we put it up, so I wouldn't think that it would have error problems... I did clean the filters out anyway.. Thanks, hope you can help..

the sanitation button on those spas needs salt in the water to produce the chlorine for sanitation.. its normal if you did not disolve salt in it and press the sanitize button to get this error

Hamlet the Puppet I would say no, a GFCI (in very lame terms) trips when the current going out of the breaker dose not equal the current coming back which means current has found somewhere to go other then where it’s supposed to go (which is dangerous) I don’t see how air lock in a pump would cause that unless the pump is leaking water all over the motor electrical components which is unlikely

My circ pump and jet pump are not turning on. I connected them to a 115v line direct and they work. When i connect them to the board they do not turn on. Heater works...flow switch works. Filters are clean. I am not getting a voltage reading at the contact points for these pumps on the PCB. Do i need a new board or just change out the relays on the board?

First you should turn the power off to the unit and disconnect the power. Then you're going to want to drain the whole thing (be sure to get as much water out of the pipes as possible). I would suggest getting 3-4 of your strongest buddies over for the next step. Load your spa up and haul it to the dump because you're obviously not qualified to own a hot tub.

You can wait for an air bubble to "unclog" or you can toggle a switch near the motor to allow the water to flow that's being held up -- but seeing our spa guy do that, I decided not to mess so close to the motor and wiring.
