I was having a discussion with a friend today about different parenting styles (we’re both in our 20s and childless atm) and my argument was that sometimes being stern is necessary. I get the benefits of gentle parenting but I think a balance of both is necessary. I think I’ll understand more when I’m actually a parent though. I do know that when I was a child my mom’s stern disposition made me respect her and I might’ve resented it a bit then but now that I’m older I get it. Would love to hear you and benji talk about this sometime! Parenting isn’t easy- esp with five kids. You guys must have some great advice
