Just rewatched this movie for the first time in years. When he says “Thomas…” just before they start fighting & realizes what the Nazis have done not only to him, but their friendship it hits so hard. And then Peter accepts his fate knowing he stayed true to who he was. This is such an amazing film! And “you said they’d never split us apart” just broke my heart
