Awesome video.. I'm about to tackle this on my Foxbody mustang. I'd like to ask a question... I need to cut my door bars out before I order the kit because I don't know the ID of my roll cage tubing is. My question is where do I make the cuts? Is there a rule of thumb or is it where I want to. I'm guessing 2-3 inches from the weld? Thanks for any help. I want to buy this kit. Well made parts.

The front cut should be as far forward as possible while still allowing the door bar to hinge and not interfere with the door jam. Usually that is a point that lies on the same plane as the door panel when the door is wide open. The rear point should be just behind the edge of the seat. That way you will not be hitting it while getting in and out of the car. Thanks for watching the video. Do not forget to subscribe.

Does anybody know are these legal on a certified chassis ?
@goldenhazeduster4 жыл бұрын
They would only be legal on a cage good to 8.50. Anything needing an SFI cert would have the door bars in an X.

Hmm... These look familiar. That's right they copied our Applied Racing Technology kits!

Probably made in the same factory as the Chris Alston ones I have on my door bars. They look identical.
