I will forever associate this catchy song with Tokyo. After going unemployed for seven months in the US, I was finally flown to Japan in May 1989 for the most important job interview of my life. As I arrived at Narita Airport, this was the song that I kept hearing from the chauffeur's car radio. How apt!

I walked into a CVS the other night for the sole purpose of nostalgia. I pretended it was an old Thrifty's or Payless Drugs store. I walked down the toy aisle remembering the first 80s GI Joe action figure I bought as a child. And then this song came on. Made my night. I felt like the universe was smiling on me.

Great writing by both Andy & Corrine. I'm an old guy here in America and have been a fan since Breakout. And you are correct...sadly so many of my fellow citizens are so enamored of the dime a dozen pop stars de jour. They get better with every year that passes.

This group is from the late 80's early 90's. I love to lisen to them whenever I can. I love how she sings and her hip and cool way of dressing. I was so glad to see her come back to all of us her adoring fans. So all I have to say is Swing out Sister still rocks all these years later.

I have a number Swing Out Sister tunes on my old iPod . The upbeat music to get me through the drudgery of household chores ! Further to the comments , Swing Out Sister is beyond being underrated . They are fabulous in both their audio and visual presentations of their songs . Needless to say , thank goodness for modern technology and You Tube , I can only dream of recapturing the past, especially in my case the 1960's .

Incredibly nostalgic sounding voice feels like I had heard SOS decades before in the early 60's. Smooth flowing inimitable jazz sounds worthy of greater airplay. Got hooked on them way back from Am I the Same Girl. I love the freespirited beat and tempo all moving as one sound, excellent!

Agreed - I know of them only because of an internet search I did in 2004 wondering what ever happened to them. And was pleasantly surprised to see they were not only still active but still outstanding. The smooth jazz stations in the US used to play them regularly, their first two albums, but not much else. I wonder sometimes if "Get In Touch With Yourself" did them great in the pop world but not so much in the jazz world. Myself I love that album as well as their jazzier stuff.

Corinne has that elegance that is missing from so many modern female singers. S.O.S.was always dressed smart, elegant and never looked liked they slept in their clothes. With that and lyrics and the music made them simply smashing. Glad to see that Corine was out performing again after all these years.
