Hey Mike, just join from wherever you are !!! Throw your limbs around !! My genre of dancing can be called ' octopus on amphetamine' dance. I don't break any rules of dancing, because I don't know any! 😁 Accept yourself more man, read some Albert Ellis books. At least his " 12 Irrational Beliefs". Also chapter 14 of the book " Psychological Self-Help". All available on internet. Do you know that too much self-criticism leads to depression? People do that unconsciously ( call it ' the self- critical voice'). What does your self-critical voice say ? " I am depressed". " I cannot dance ". " I am not as fit as these people". " I do not belong to a group like this". " I do not have friends". Phew!!! Your self- critic is really mean!! Next time just tell it to stfu and enjoy, despite imperfections , which we all have. Best wishes, Cheerio from a great distance away - Saurav from Kolkata, India

@@richy69ify sooo lindy hop and hip hop have no cultural ties? Lol of course music evolves, i never denyed that but to say Lindy Hop and Hip Hop in the US have no cultural ties is...a little foolish. My grandparents were dancing Lindy Hop at a time when it first emerged up north and my Dad and uncles got into Hip Hop back during the disco and soul days and during the Vietnam war way before it was even a mainstream style. Of course other cultures added their two cents but in America they have still cultural ties

That was amazing. I've not been a fan of much fusion. Usually too much Latin and blues is added and it slows the dynamic of Lindy down for me. But, holy crap. These styles blend so perfectly with the music and so much of the basic footwork is the same. When I'm at school (teacher) kids show me their hip hop moves and half of them or remade tap, lindy or Charleston. LOVE LOVE LOVE this!
