Real POE for WyzeCam V3 (power and data) using Uctronics Adapter

This newest configuration sounds very interesting, Thank you for posting! However I have had nothing but troubles using the Mini Hack from Github, I would appreciate any assistance or suggestions for getting a clean install. My V3's all work perfectly as standard wifi cameras. They just never want to take the firmware changes from the Github hack.

I am almost done with designing a housing for the camera that you can stick the LAN adapter inside of the housing, and just plug an Ethernet cable into the back of the housing.

@@SwingingInTheHood definitely, I found a local company that does 3d printing, so I’ll have him do me a test print, make sure everything works, then have a real one printed.

Using wz_mini_hacks and poe adapter, you can make it wired. However, if physically wired, it will still appear in your Wyze app with all Wyze features still available.

Would you know if the Uctronics and Wyze Cam V3 can be connected to Reolink NVR? I purchased the upgraded uctronics adapter and upgraded the wyze cam firmware to the rtsp/beta version so it can added as an ip camera. The light on the adapter is solid, should it be blinking all the time? I've tried it with the adapters ip address as well as the wyze address. I also have the rtsp on the nvr turned on. Any advise would be appreciated.

I did a video comparing a Uctronics that does not work with one that works: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4HRaGOwp9R6ms0&ab_channel=SwingingInTheHood If it is working, then you should be able to get to it over the Wyze UI. There, you can go to Device Info and get the IP address for it on your network. If Reolink NVR can be used with any rtsp IP cam, and your Wyze/Uctronics combo is broadcasting, then yes it will work.

Have you found this to be reliable into Blue Iris? If the camera loses power, will it boot up and begin the RTSP stream again automatically? Have you tried this setup on the Wyze v2? Thanks!

I use Blue Iris with all my cameras. Yes, this works well. If the camera loses power, the RTSP will stream again automatically once power is restored.
