Who's excited for the Rolling Thunder Revue film being released on Netflix on June 12?! I thought I'd upload this in anticipation for the film. I will be posting more footage from the tour in the weeks to come. The audio was recorded in Fort Worth, TX. on May 16, 1976.
I ripped this losslessly from a rare DVD of "Renaldo and Clara," which made a short run in theaters until it was discontinued because of negative reviews. The film as a whole is quite boring if you aren't a Dylan nut, and even if you are, much of the "storyline" is very abstract and hard to follow. It has its moments though. There's footage of Dylan driving a mobile home down a highway, hiking through the snow on a farm, extensive backstage footage with Joan Baez and his then-wife Sara, him visiting Kerouac's grave with Allen Ginsberg, playing at the Cafe Wha with Jack Elliot and Phil Ochs, and much more. Stay tuned!
